Outlook mobile only shows Skype as the Online meeting option, not Teams. We are full Online Exchange, no on prem. Teams Admin has Teams Only mode set org-wide and user for months. Private Meetings and Outlook Addin are set. Exchange Web Access shows the Teams option. Desktop Outlook shows the Teams option. Teams mobile is installed on the phone, Skype is not. I can schedule from Teams mobile. Regular calendar meetings show in Teams and Outlook mobile, they are syncd.

I am developing an application which is kind of similar to Skype with some more features. I am amused and surprised by Skype's response to various mobile platforms i.e. iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, Bada OS etc.

Skype for Business mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android are now available. Each of these clients offer full IM, presence, audio and video tools. They are available as free downloads from the respective App Stores. The sections below provide installation and first-time login instructions.

How do I set up a scheduled automatic Skype from my desktop computer to call my mobile? It just needs to call my phone, it doesn't have to make sense. I just need the call to interrupt my meeting so I can make theatre and leave.

I want to use Skype to send SMSs overseas, and sent a test SMS or two to a friend. He got the SMSs alright, but couldn't directly reply since, by default, Skype was identifying me as my Skype Name. So, in 'Options -> SMS settings' I changed the identification mode to be my mobile number, which means that my friend can now directly reply to my SMSs via their phone.

The only trouble is - the reply doesn't go to Skype. It goes directly to my phone - fair enough. But the conversation in the Skype SMS window only shows my SMSs, not their replies. Is there any way to have Skype show their SMSs to my mobile number in the SMS messages pane so I can stick to Skype, and not have to break out my mobile just to see their response?

I know this is an old question, but i just found it "binging" and though it might be handy to update. under your skype account settings on the skype site, under "call phones" there is an option to chance your Caller ID settings. enter your mobile number in here and when you send a SMS or make a call, your mobile number will show up. this way, your friend can reply, but it will arrive on your mobile, not skype...

MCX (Mobility Service) support for legacy mobile clients is no longer available in Skype for Business Server 2019. All current Skype for Business mobile clients already use Unified Communications Web API (UCWA) to support instant messaging (IM), presence, and contacts. Users with legacy clients using MCX will need to upgrade to a current client.

I suspect this has something to do with ubuntu and/or skype treating the wireless broadband connection differently from a wifi connection. Perhaps it has something to do with dialout, with 'metered connection', etc.

I must say I am excited that Skype is here and working. Watching the skype video and reading the terms and conditions, it is not clear to me that Skype will work the way I want. Can someone please confirm my assumptions?

I assume that skypemobile to skypemobile is viewed the same as calling to a skype enabled computer? In other words, if I'm in Europe and want to call my wife who has skypemobile on her Droid Eris back in the states....this will be Free of charge?

Domestic calls to non-Skype users (landline or mobile number) are carried by Verizon Wireless and will be charged according to the calling plan. Calls to Skype users and International calls are billed according to the Skype subscription.

Can we use skype "from" other countries with the same terms/rates etc as if we were calling from the US. Most of the confusion is not around who we can and can't call when we are physcially present in the US.

I downloaded and installed Skype last week thinking the same thing. But Skype only works on the Verizon network, so it only works domestically while you are in the US. Currently I am in Toronto and I get a message when I start Skype that says "Skype mobile can only be used on Verizon Wireless in the US." I want to get my $10 usage fee back. It is a useless program as far as I am concerned if it can't be used while traveling. I don't know what Skype is thinking.

I have to agree that this app is worthless to me, unless I want to make international calls from my cell phone while I'm in the US. I am going to Europe later this year and thought that all I would need to do would be to connect to a wifi spot over there, and then I could call back to the United States using skype's rates from my mobile, but am very disappointed that that is not the case. Guess I'll have to haul my computer overseas so I can use skype on my computer to call back to U.S.

I am unable to login into Skype mobile app on my new iPhone 14 Pro which I bought just a couple of months ago. After I enter my username, it simply loads a black screen with Skype logo on the top as shown below. However if I try to login into Skype on the mobile Safari browser, it works. It just doesn't work on the mobile app. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I leave tomorrow for two weeks in the UK and Italy and while on the phone with Verizon this morning I was blindsided by them informing me that my phone is in fact not set up for global use and will not work internationally. This was not the information provided to me a month ago when I visited the Verizon store, so I was clearly not prepared for finding alternatives. I'm interested in using the Skype mobile app to call cell-phones or landlines (in order to make calls to the US, UK and Italy while traveling). Has anyone had experience using this while abroad? It looks like it's about 2 cents/minute. I don't plan on making excessive phone calls, but would certainly like to have the option if necessary. Appreciate any assistance!

Download the skype app for your phone. Setup a skype account for free and then add $10 to your account. Use wifi from your hotel. Call anywhere back home and you'll have six hours of talktime. Skype to skype calls are free, skype to a cell or land line cost 2cents a minute. This is the best travel deal since Capitol one banking. You did call your bank and credit cards didnt you?

Alyce 1a Maybe

1b Maybe 2 Probably The answers to all these questions is to set it up before you go, and practice, practice, practice. If you have a device with you in Europe with the software on it, a device for your housesitters with the software on it, both set up and practiced, and there is a camera on the device properly configured and both parties press the right buttons and there is a decent wifi signal at both ends and the housesitters answer the skype call correctly - probably. If you just call their phone with a phone from Europe it will ring where they are and they can answer it. I have no idea how tech-savvy either you or they are, no idea what your wifi will be like, how either computer will work, and how close your housesitters will be to the computer when you call.
