We recently upgraded to the software version shown above in order to attempt to resolve the problem. I was able to remotely control the mouse and keyboard when connected to a test PC; however, when I remoted into the PC of an internal customer who needed troubleshooting assistance, I had no mouse or keyboard control.

Upgrading to a newer version of Remote Support resolved the remote mouse and keyboard access; however, then the Remote Support application started on its own every time I logged onto the PC, either remotely or via VPN.

Hello, I am learning NWConnection and I have studied the TicTacToe app example.I am learning by creating my own app. I am trying to create a remote mouse app (the mouse/keyboard input from iPhone) over WiFi to control my Mac.

On the receiving end, my Macbook receives the Data and successfully parses each of the messages and then moves the mouse using Quartz Display Services API.I implemented my own NWFramerImplementation and I can parse the message easily since I know the length of my payload data is always the same.

I get consistent smooth mouse movement when testing it on my iPad everytime, but when I use my iPhone it is horrible and there is a lot of lag/latency. I've tried using UDP on the connection and it's still the same. I turn off the data and bluetooth on my iPhone and it doesnt help

I found a way to only send the current drag velocity in send.connection() by using the NWConnection.SendCompletion.contentProcessed handler but it still hasn't improved my latency issue on my iPhone. The mouse doesnt move that smoothly compared to when I run it on my iPad.

The well praise of TOUCH Keyboard gave us great inspiration, why not design a PBT wireless mouse with the same material coupled to TOUCH Keyboard? And wouldn't it be perfect if the buttons on this mouse could be changed at will?

LOFREE passes on the dye-sub pbt's and replaceable keycap set's concept of TOUCH keyboard to this wireless mouse. PBT, the non-glossy, non-sticky and skin-friendly texture, is carefully used on MB1, MB2 and upper case, ensuring a reliable grip and smooth ergonomics.

The mouse does not register any movement after the computer wakes up (Macbook Pro M1). You have to actually click to wake the mouse. Annoyingly, the click registerer so if the mouse cursor is over a button, that button will be clicked. Hope my description makes sense. other than that, the mouse feels good but is unusable at the lower dpi settings. You need to go to at least 3600 dpi for it to become usable.

If you use a mouse with your left hand, or you want a cheaper ambidextrous option, a vertical mouse, or a wireless mouse for occasional gaming, we offer more advice in the Other good wireless mice section.

Our runner-up mouse can connect via USB dongle or Bluetooth. However, the M585 can pair with only two devices, whereas the M720 Triathlon can pair with up to three. Like our top pick, the M585 has a convenient storage cavity for the USB dongle.

PRO Wireless was designed to be the ultimate gaming mouse for esports professionals. Over a 2 year period, Logitech G collaborated with more than 50 professional players to find the perfect shape, weight and feel combined with our LIGHTSPEED wireless and HERO 25k sensor technologies. The result is a gaming mouse with unrivaled performance and precision, giving you the tools and confidence needed to win.

With an onboard memory, you can use G HUB to save your preferences directly to the mouse for fast and easy use on tournament systems. Your mouse settings remain consistent from home to stage. Skip installing custom software or reconfiguring your settings. Get straight to the game.

Meta Quest 3 owner here. I"m trying "Remote Display (Beta)" app, able to connect to my computer and see the screen - but - there's no interaction. Is this by design? The only thing which happens if I point a controller at remote display window is some darkening at the bottom and 2 buttons - disconnect and and resolution multiplier (not even sure what this does, nothing seems to change).

I'm pretty sure the intent is to pair a BT keyboard to your headset and use it like that. And of course you could use your actual PC's mouse/KB. Is a bit weird they don't give you virtual controls though.

Thanks for reaching back! Since the app is still in the beta stage, there's really no telling what direction it could take. If it's meant to be a virtual display for your PC I'd suggest checking if it works with the keyboard and mouse connected to your PC as @Lujho mentioned.

Something else I would recommend is potentially posting this over to our ideas board. This way our team can get a look personally at what the community would love to see added. Lastly if it's not working through your normal keyboard and mouse controls, you can throw in a bug report for them to have the right information.

I have a gigabit LAN vnc connection to my other PC and am connecting with "high quality (LAN)" option. Everything works fine, except for remote mouse cursor flickering between visible and invisible about two times per second permanently. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether I move the cursor or not.

I also tried vncviewer (tigervnc) and no blinking there. The interesting thing is, if I connect via vncviewer and then using krdc without closing vncviewer, the blinking goes down (but does not disappear completely).

Disabling KWin effects doesn't change anything. Writing this post I also noticed that the mouse cursor flickering is very high on "high quality" preset, and very low on "low quality" preset.

I have a computer with a touchscreen where users navigate an interface presented by a Python app. This computer runs a VNC server (x11vnc on Debian). Administrators sometimes assist the users to navigate the interface remotely via VNC (RealVNC Viewer on MacOS), clicking their mouse on the appropriate interface components.

Our touchscreen GUI uses PsychoPy* to draw graphical elements and collect input data (where users are touching the screen, whether it is inside or outside of relevant hit boxes), but have no way to distinguish between user input (local) and administrator assistance input (remote).

The most practical thing about the MW 8C ADVANCED is that you do not have to decide on a connection type. A switch on the bottom of the mouse lets you toggle back and forth between 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth. This offers you the advantage of using the MW 8C ADVANCED to control a notebook via Bluetooth, for example, or connecting it to a PC via the 2.4 GHz radio receiver. In both cases, data is transferred with AES-128 encryption.

Hi, I just recently purchased a Dell XPS 15 9570. This laptop has two USB 3.1 Gen 1 with Power Delivery ports, one on either side. One the left is where I plug in the wireless dongle for my mouse. On the right I have a USB 3.1 hub where I plug in external drives, my keyboard, etc. When I plug the Plugable ethernet adapter into the hub, or if I plug the adapter into the USB port directly (thus taking the hub out of the equation), my mouse starts skipping, will not track, fails to respond, etc. All relevant drivers are updated; mouse model is Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3500.

Could you please try to enable Airplane mode on your PC to see if this fixes things? This will disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, FYI. These services can cause additional interference as well and cutting it out may help with the specific bandwidth your mouse uses.

Reason I was asking was because I could have sworn I read an Amazon review of someone using one, but wasn't sure which model NVR they had. If it is possible, what make or brand wireless mouse? Stringing an extension USB cable across my floor is a bit of a pain.

Sorry wireless mouse when used with NVR can have some compatibility problem. But we did test on Logitech M185 and it worked here. If by chance you have one, you can give it a shot. But some users said they tried and failed and it has something to do with the mouse version. We are sorry that we can't guarantee.

Thank you for your kind understanding.

Yes, my Dell wireless mouse which is connected to my office pc works with the app for a minute or two, then the b**tons stop working which forces me to kill the app with Task Manager. They really need to fix this.

I also tried the Logitech M185 without success. It moved the cursor about an inch then quit working. I have not been able to get it to work and even tried rebooting the system with the dongle attached and firmware updates. Does anyone know how to get it to work or which mouse has the best success rate. This seems like an oversight that should have been included functionality for those of us who have the device in a discrete location.

Cynthia,

Thank you for forwarding the enhancement request.

As an update, I did try the usb y-adapter and that did not work. I also tried a powered usb hub. The hub worked great with various wired usb mouses that I tried, but still did not help with the wireless mouse situation. I tried two different Logitech wireless mice and even updated the firmware for one of them, but neither worked.

Updating the NVR to support a wireless mouse would be extremely useful. Thanks.

The one I linked to works 100%. The only thing is I purchased the keyboard as well but not sure if you can get the mouse alone, probably not. Just out of interest, which USB port are you using? The front or the back? For the record, I use the front one.

In a few minutes I will have a go with my two Logitech mice to see if they work. In fact I'll do that before I send this response...

... a few minutes later ...

OK. One of my Logitech mice, the one that uses the Logitech Unifying receiver does NOT work. However, my Logitech which DOESN'T use the Unifying receiver DOES work. Unfortunately I don't have the model number of the mouse that works but I know the mouse cost me a fair few quid, unlike the cheap ma*s produced imports, and a quick search on Logitech's site seems to suggest it's no longer manufactured and ALL their wireless mice now use the Unifying receiver.
