Is there a way to transfer Office 365 files to a USB drive on the iPad Pro? I travel around the world and often have to give a file, e.g. powerpoint file, to someone for a presentation. If I replace my Macbook Pro with the iPad Pro, I need to be able to get presentations and other files onto a thumb drive. I've looked as SanDisk and other apps/devices but don't find a solution. The iPad Pro would be a great replacement if I could do this one operation.

Just found how to move word docs, etc to ixpand flash drive. My wife if bedfast and uses her ipad all of the time. I mostly got the sandisk ixpand thumb drive to put her pictures on for a back up and for her to look at family pictures copied from my computer. But, then she wanted to write a word document and for me to print it off that ixpand thumb drive. I installed the word app on her ipad. You go to the file created in the word app and on the side with some dots, choose to share to another app. Search the apps and pick the ixpand app and copy the file to it and it will copy to the ixpand thumb drive.

I've explored a half dozen options including additional apps that are supposed to help overcome this issue - but none are solid and/or been disproved. The IOS email app doesn't do it, the ipad/iphone view doesn't get it done, the Quick Note doesn't work. Evernote uses the same viewer; and I tried Azul - both dead ends. Other than spending $40 for the Office for iPad app, I don't see an alternative.

I had same issue - I don't think dropbox has integrated this option yet. You have to load the powerpoint file through itunes: Go to the ipad, click on apps, scroll down to filesharing, click on powerpoint, and hit add. Annoying? Yes - hopefully dropbox will add the "open in" option soon.

Several people seem to have issues with Audio not being played on their ipad, but if you plug something into the headphone jack like headphones or an external speaker, then the audio comes through on that. Some people on ipads with a mute switch also mention that turning off the mute switch may make a difference as powerpoint looks at the notification volume instead of playback volume like most apps do. I'm using an ipad without a mute button and still haven't figured out how to get the audio from a powerpoint to play on my ipad, but it does work via headphones.

When you use the Send button to send to powerpoint, Prism sends a pdf, which is the standard for graphic interchange on the mac. If you copy to the clipboard, Prism puts a pdf on the clipboard and osx also converts to a bitmap picture which is also placed on the clipboard. When you paste, the pasting application chooses which it wants. PowerPoint 2011 chooses the pdf. PowerPoint 2009 chose the bitmap (for no apparent reason). You can use Edit..Paste Special to choose. 0852c4b9a8
