I have tried this one also, but i still have an unstable app. I still getting

and i today installed the latest ODBC driver 3.51.13 with the same results...

Have you been able to check out the files i sent yesterday ?

(db, asp's and project files.....)

reg,

The machine that runs the CPM must support ODBC, version 3.51.28 (32-bit). If the machine does not support this version of ODBC, download the mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.28-win32.msi from the MySQL downloads site:

Since your ODBC connection is failing, you need to look at your odbc config extremely carefully and ensure that all of your required dependencies are installed for a successful Mysql/ODBC connection. The full list of ODBC DSN settings for the mysql odbc connector can be found here:

Yes, I am attempting to run the query in TDP. Yes, windows is a 64 bit version. I did uninstall the MySQL ODBC drivers, and installed the 64 bit MySQL ODBC drivers. The download file is entitled: mysql-connector-odbc-5.3.7-winx64. Do you think I need to reinstall using a different file?

You can't create the datasource in mySql. DataSources are an ODBC thing which is a windows thing, not a mysql thing. You will need to get the MySQL ODBC connector which is available from their website, install it, then create a datasource with it from windows ODBC settings (under administrator settings / ODBC). It is described in our help in general terms in the logging chapter.

If you are interested in manipulating your Blackboard MySQL data in a more familiar program, like Microsoft Access, you can also download the MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51 for MySQL databases. Once you install it, it will show up in Access 2007. You will then need to configure the connector to use your MySQL database by following these steps:

On Windows, the default myodbc3.dll is compiled for optimal performance. If you want to debug Connector/ODBC 3.51 (for example, to enable tracing), you should instead use myodbc3d.dll. To install this file, copy myodbc3d.dll over the installed myodbc3.dll file. Make sure to revert back to the release version of the driver DLL once you are done with the debugging because the debug version may cause performance issues. Note that the myodbc3d.dll isn't included in Connector/ODBC 3.51.07 through 3.51.11. If you are using one of these versions, you should copy that DLL from a previous version (for example, 3.51.06). 0852c4b9a8
