Hey, I'm having an issue with my Macbook and Fuji X Raw studio not detecting my Fuji XT5. Mac is updated to the latest Ventura 13.5 and X Raw studio is updated to the latest 1.19.0 . My camera and lens does have the latest firmware updates installed ( Body: 2.02 / Lens: 1.20 ). I have the correct connection mode set to USB RAW CONV./BACKUP RESTORE. I've tried all three USB-C ports on my Macbook and used different cables as well. These different ports and cables do work with other devices. There is a positive sign that when the camera is plugged in, it shows its charging via a plug icon above the battery icon on the camera screen. I have also tried restarting my laptop. Finally I have confirmed that the Macbook version and camera is compatible with the X Raw Studio. This program has worked before but just like now, I've had problems the time before as well getting it going. I wish I can remember what I did. Not sure what else there is to do so if anyone has any solutions please let me know, thank you.

Now if we could somehow find a way to reverse this process. Is there a program out there that can convert 94B to DLS then DLS to SF2? I think I already have a DLS to SF2 converter but all my searches for a 94B to DLS converter have failed. Does someone know something I don't?

And that's basically it. Although the workflow via XML and then to QuickTime involves an extra step or two, the conversion goes so quickly that it doesn't really matter. In this case, audio from a four day studio shoot amounted to just over 300 takes, or about 3.2GB. The initial conversion via the BWF2XML tool went off within two minutes. Importing into FCP and then Batch Export to QuickTime took about 4 minutes on a dual 2.5 G5. Not an issue, especially when compared to capturing DAT audio real-time, or having to make second passes of camera audio in real-time to get all the tracks, plus the logging hassle. A bit of good file organization is all that is otherwise required.

One approach is to put in front of these converters switchable audio gain circuits. When the device sees the range of the ADC it is using move up above a threshold, it switches to a backup ADC with a gain adjustment set to cover that higher range, and changes the calculation to convert integer data to floating point so the measurement stays continuous. The same can happen when the audio signal volume goes down.

You could also have multiple parallel ADCs all with different audio gains, and moderate between them to avoid the analog clipping. This second variation on the idea avoids switchable gain circuitry.
