U can lock some of the applications like whats app , messenger and viber by going to setings than go to account then confidentiality than scroll all the way down u will find lock my app .but other apps like facebook snapchat or instagram u can with using app limit and set timing and set code or download an application if its helpfull let me know

I don't think dany183 is referring to an app that does this for other apps, but instead that these are settings within an app if the app has that feature. In other words, you can do it with Messenger inside of Messenger because Messenger offers it. As for something outside an app offering this, that was my suggestion to check Screen Time.

I am using App Lock feature of eset mobile security and i am unable to find any option to lock recents. I means whats the point of app lock when someone can still see one's messages and pictures in recents. Is there any option to lock recents, if not then please add this option to mobile security app. Thanks.

Thank you for your quick reply. I have attached a screenshot of recents, please find the attachment. For example in the attached screenshot the recents can be accessed by taping the "sqare box" at bottom rite corner and there are 3rd party vendor apps on google play store that locks the recents in android.

Once you unlock the App from the AppLock , it will stay unlocked in the Recents untill you clear it from the Recents or re-lock the device as far as I have noticed , sometimes clicking the back button and running the App again does bypass the AppLock but then after few seconds the AppLock locks it again

It happened once for me where it produced a bug , clicking on the app , being prompted to put the pin , clicking back and then clicking the app again made me bypass the Lock for quite about 10 seconds and then the Lock noticed and locked me again.

Okay here is what i did, i locked the phone (power button, screen goes off) waited 15 seconds then unlocked phone but didn't open any locked app and taped the "recents app option" as shown in screen shot earlier. I can still see recents of apps like whatsapp, facebook, Instagram etc and see the messages, pictures etc.

AppLock prevents applications from starting. It does not block already running applications. The list you are referring to are applications that are running in the background. You can close a particular application, e.g. by dragging it to the right and you should not be able to start it then.

Okay let me explain. There is a application called "Norton app lock" and it does the same thing i am talking about. It does not clear any application from resent app list but locks the GUI of recent app list so that any other person cant see recents without unlocking apps. I have attached the screenshot of that option called "lock recent app list" from this "norton app lock" app.

One of my friends wanted to see my phones' UI so i gave him with unlocked lockscreen. i thought my apps are locked through eset how can he open them but he was looking at GUI of recents specifically WhatsApp chats in recents and i was like killing him in my mind.

Heya @grin_phi. We understand the difficulties with wanting to protect your kid from getting into unsafe apps. The App-lock system can be trick, if you don't know exactly what to do. Luckily you came to the right place to get some assistance with this.

Knock Knock @grin_phi. We are just reaching back out to see if you are still having trouble with the lock app feature. We hope what we said yesterday made sense to you, we look forward to your update on this!

Hi Newtos8p, no harm in giving feedback to Samsung for a built-in app lock, but I seriously doubt they'll implement this as it's not something most people want. I hear you about 3rd party apps, as Norton is a trusted name I thought I'd recommend that one.

This has started early November, sometimes I can sign into an app and the Norton app lock may not appear until about a minute later. It even comes up for that app even after closing app and I am in another app.

It does this a lot but it does still appear as it should with some apps so that app cannot be opened until I use my fingerprint as authorization. The late opening App lock is always only number code operated.

I'm thrilled to share that I've started creating short videos filled with tips and tricks to unleash the power of Apple Classroom that you're absolutely going to love! Apple Classroom is a true game-changer for educators, and my first video is all about how to effortlessly launch and lock a specific app across all your students' iPads simultaneously. This feature not only streamlines classroom management but also ensures that your students stay focused on the subject matter or test at hand. Stay tuned for more exciting Apple Classroom tips coming your way!

There's no need to protect Apps Script or Google Sheets from concurrency, even write operations from the same user. Each parallel access you do from Apps Script runs completely independently from each other, it is a new instance of your app that do not share anything with others, it might even be running on a different server entirely. And Google Sheets handle concurrency just fine, concurrent collaboration is the whole point of the G Suite apps.

By the way, this is just a very lame example. This is not how you should count clicks because, as you've pointed out, locking adds a significant delay in your system. Therefore you should look for alternatives, maybe splitting your data per user or using atomic operations like appendRow.

When using my PowerApp from a mobile device (my phone), when i rotate the phone and move to from portrait to landscape, the PowerApp is also switching from portrait to landscape even though i have the screen orientation lock setting enabled on my phone.

I know that you have the option to lock the app orientation from the studio editor, but i was trying to avoid that and let the device handle it. The the screen orientation lock setting on a mobile device not effect the behavior of the PowerApp? Is this a bug or is there a work-around for this?

9. I then followed steps 1 - 4, but this time I turned on 'Lock orientation' and I tested my app from my iPhone and the orientation didn't change when I rotated my phone (orientation on my phone was unlocked).

Just googled this, and presumed it was not possible. I have the same issues, am flicking between assets and in and out of the Design Library. I just want Mirror to lock to the Frame I am working with, I find it gets stuck and then I have to restart constantly.

Never tried it but you could possibly do this in a hacky way with some clever apps script/webhook thingy/invoke refresh/google apps script clear column after 30 seconds in sheet combined with useremail() to go to ref view. I wish I could explain better.

Thank you for taking the time to post this feedback to us, we appreciate it. It sounds like you have enabled the "lockable filters" under the customize section of the filter. Have you also gone in and tapped the locks next to each specific filter you wish to lock? They need to be explicitly locked or they will not lock each search.

HI ebay mobile app help. That is very good info and now I am seeing the padlock next to the filters you are referring to. With two very important exceptions. I am not seeing it in the category filter. I want to lock to "clothing shoes and accesorris --> men". And i am not seeing it for the sorting options. I want to sort fron lowest to highest price. Why wouldnt you be allowed to lock this filter and sort method when you can the others? It doesnt make sense. Thank you!

It's deliberate. They do not want you to be locked into one option. They want to have to see all options so you might possibly buy something else. It's not about customer convenience, it's about Ebay greed.

Hi @Denis130

We installed an August fourth gen lock + keypad just under a month ago, and linked it to our ABB account.

August auto-generates the guest code as well as sets the time for when the code will be active to match exactly check-in and check-out times. (I typically will edit the temporary period to allow for 30 minutes grace period at check-out). The codes auto-delete when the guest's stay is over.

Here is the message that gets auto-sent immediately after accepting a reservation request (we do not have Instant book turned on).

Airbnb has partnered with Yale Access / August Home and your Host to make access to your rental easier. Your Airbnb rental is equipped with a smart lock that gives you property access in two ways: first by simply entering an access code on a keypad or secondly if you prefer, by using our mobile application.

Your access code is nnnnn. Your access will be active for the duration of your stay: Wed, Sep 1, 2021 5:00 PM to Sat, Sep 4, 2021 11:00 AM.

We recommend guests download the August Home app. Instructions on downloading the app are available here - -to-download-the-august-app-rJrU8C3b8.

Virtual keys offer better security and easier access. However, if you are not interested in virtual keys or you do not have a compatible smartphone, please contact your Airbnb Host to make alternative arrangements to access the property.

For further instructions on using your code, click here - -integration-faq-B1YAULkC_z.

We chose to install the keypad because a few of our early guests had suggested that they were most comfortable with a code instead of a smartphone app, and we have literally had one guest attempt to download and use the app on their smartphone. He was unable to do so, likely because his booking occurred prior to us integrating ABB and August.

Overall we have been very pleased - we make sure that we are in communication with guests right away at booking, with a version of this message right after the auto-gen message gets sent:

The message above is auto-generated by ABB. We have linked our front door August smartlock to ABB, and your door code is included.

I will send some additional details regarding the lock. We installed it in early August, and the feedback has been positive with regards to usage and ease of check in.

and then a day or two prior to check-in I re-send the code with instructions on entering nnnnn + the red logo button on the keypad, along with a brief explanation of one-touch locking and the associated sounds that the deadbolt and keypad make for successful/unsuccessful code entries.

We'd recommend this setup to anyone in a heartbeat. 0852c4b9a8
