Located on the shores of the Baltic Sea, between Poland and Lithuania, Kaliningrad is a piece of Russia in the heart of Europe. A curious territory, isolated from Moscow after the fall of the USSR, today transformed into a military fortress facing NATO. In Kaliningrad, headquarters of the Russian Baltic fleet, there are 30,000 soldiers, hypersonic missiles and nuclear capability.

Tackling more than one subject in a script, and managing to find that right balance between these, and getting away unscathed is something not easily achieved. In Operation Java , debutant Tharun Moorthy, who has scripted and directed the film, has found this sweet spot, with two of the film's main concerns neatly balancing each other. At the heart of the film lies two issues: cyber crime and joblessness.

No, the jobless ones are not the ones involved in cyber crime here. On the contrary, they are the ones aiding the cyber cell of the Kerala Police to track down suspects. Vinayadasan (Lukman) and Antony (Balu Varghese) have been unsuccessfully on the look out for jobs, after completing their engineering course. Out of sheer interest, they try tracing the origins of the pirated copy of a popular Malayalam film. They realise that the police have made wrong conclusions in the case, a fact which they point out to the cyber cell. Reluctantly, the police follow the lead provided by the duo.

Impressed by their enthusiasm and knowledge of the cyber world, the cyber cell rope them in as temporary staff. The film is structured as a series of cyber crimes and the police's efforts at tracking them down, almost as a mini-series with a few independent episodes. Almost all of these stories have been inspired from various incidents of cyber crime reported from across the country in the past decade. The script does manage to maintain the tension in each of these separate episodes, although some of these cases are solved thanks to some convenient, easy coincidences. The making is slick, with a pulsating background score from Jakes Bejoy adding much to the mood of the film.

Joblessness among youth was the core idea of some of Malayalam cinema's biggest hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Out of these, Nadodikkattu is the closest in comparison to Operation Java , as far as the themes go. Like Antony and Vinayadasan here, there was Dasan and Vijayan who were struggling to find jobs and end up netting criminals whom the police were on the look out for. The only difference here is that Antony and Vinayadasan are not finding any of the criminals by accident, but with their own effort. Maybe due to that, the humour element of that old film is absent here. But, no one is complaining.

What the film lacks probably is in the portrayal of its women characters. Antony's girlfriend Alfonsa, one of the few women characters to have a substantial role, is someone who is ready to leave him for better options, twice. Some of the other women characters, including a school girl, who pop up amid the investigations also are shown to have such traits, while the men and boys are all left pining for true love. The only woman in the cyber cell team hardly gets any dialogue, nor does the victim of a cyber crime who gets quite a few scenes.

I am a psychological anthropologist who has worked in Southeast Asia, particularly on the islands of Bali and Java in Indonesia, for most of my career. My work explores the relationship of culture and history to trauma, psychiatric illness, structural and gender-based violence, and their relationship to subjectivity and phenomenology. I am also a visual anthropologist and ethnographic filmmaker with over twenty years of experience conducting fieldwork and producing longitudinal film studies. In 2007, I founded Elemental Productions, an ethnographic documentary film production company. I have completed over a dozen films on a wide range of topics including mental illness, polygamy and gender-based violence, the sex trade, genocide, kinship and ritual, and trance and possession. I am president of the Foundation for Psychocultural Research, a Los Angeles-based philanthropic organization that focuses on the integration of the social sciences and neuroscience since 1999.

Models of a number of different types of cardiac cells from different species have been developed to represent different regions of the heart as well as different states, including various diseases. The main regions include the atria and the ventricles, as well as specialized pacemaking cells in the sinoatrial node and specialized conducting cells in the His-Purkinje system. The continued discovery of new ion channels and ionic processes in cardiac cells, as well as improvements in voltage-clamp techniques and data acquisition, has led to an increase over time in the complexity of mathematical models used to describe cardiac cell electrical dynamics. Below we list a number of important cell models according to their region of the heart and summarize their properties.

Following the early models of the Purkinje cell, the next region of the heart to be modeled was the ventricles, with the publication in 1977 of the Beeler-Reuter model of a generic ventricular cell. The Beeler-Reuter model included the relatively recently discovered calcium current, along with an intracellular calcium concentration designed to produce a realistic calcium transient that varied over the course of the action potential.

The first human ventricular model was published by Priebe and Beuckelmann in 1998 and included specific variations to describe both normal and heart failure-remodeled electrophysiology (see Figure 16). It was based on the LR2 model and retained much of the intracellular calcium handling description from that model. The Priebe-Beuckelmann model includes a total of 10 currents: the L-type Ca2+, transient outward K+, rapid and slow delayed rectifier K+, inward rectifier K+, fast Na+, Na+-Ca2+ exchanger, Na+-K+ pump, and background Na+ and Ca2+ currents, with human data used to derive the first five of these. A total of 17 variables are used, including the voltage, 9 gate variables, intracellular Na+ and K+ concentrations, total and free intracellular Ca2+ concentrations, total and free junctional SR Ca2+ concentrations, and the network SR Ca2+ concentration. In 2D the model produces quasi-breakup (Bueno-Orovio et al., 2008) with the same mechanisms of the LR1 model, as shown in Figure 17.

Back in Business is a 1997 action thriller film starring Brian Bosworth and Joe Torry. The film revolves around two policemen, Joe Elkhart (Bosworth) and Tony Dunbar (Torry) and their pursuit of drug runners and dirty cops. Bosworth's character is an environmentalist, similar to Steven Seagal's character in "Fire Down Below."

The film was released in Germany under the title Heart of Stone in May 1997. The German VHS release changed the title to Stone Cold 2 and marketed it as a sequel to Brian Bosworth's 1991 debut film Stone Cold, including a picture of Bosworth from the VHS cover for that film. The later German DVD release used the same artwork.

Many of the outdoor scenes were filmed around the Kapowsin area and others in the Clear Fir Lumber Co. mill at Day Island. The film would play for a week at the Rialto in January 1926, drawing exceptionally large audiences. Unfortunately, this film was lost and no copy of it has been found to this day, a common misfortune with early silent films.

A little over two years ago when I was just beginning to interview actors, Andrea Brooks was one of the first people who agreed to chat with me during season three of When Calls the Heart. It was at that moment that we connected, and since then, we have kept in contact and done a few more interviews. Recently, I had the opportunity to converse with Andrea again, and since we had met just a few months previously at the Hearties Family Reunion, it was as though we were beloved friends (which, in truth, we are). Each time I chat with this incredible woman, I am more impressed with her comprehensive knowledge of film and television, and the way in which she interacts online with the fans and portrays her characters on screen is an unadulterated phenomenon. While this interview is a bit lengthier than most, I was genuinely unable to eliminate much of our conversation as we covered such an enormous array of topics. Please savor my mini-symposium with the vivacious, intelligent, and engaging Andrea!

A heart fragment is a custom item introduced in the second season of the Lifesteal SMP. Four heart fragments, in addition to some diamond blocks and an elytra, can be used to craft a heart, which can be used to increase the user's heart count by one.
