The problem is that if I try to view any of those tagged products or even the shop itself on Facebook via a web browser on a computer, I get the error, "This content isn't available right now." If I view the same tagged products or shop link on a mobile device - via the FB app or even through a web browser, it all works fine.

Are there any settings between Shopify and Facebook that would be relevant? I've gone through settings on both sides and can't find anything (and since it seems to be working as intended on mobile, I'm guessing it's set up correctly).

Our team was able to review your concern and they advised that due to the recent changes, Meta Shops Ads team recently removed Facebook shops on Desktop and Mobile web in order to focus new feature development on the Shops experiences across the Facebook and Instagram mobile apps.

This update will bring the following feature changes (On Web Browser):

1.Removal of View Shop button & Shops tab from Facebook Pages

2.Users will not be able to access Shop Storefront and Products

a. This includes Collections, Your Items, Search, Wishlist, etc.

3.Users will not be able to access Product Details Pages

a. Facebook Product Tags on web will also not lead to Product Detail Pages

4.Facebook Cart will be hidden

a. If accidentally visible, the cart will intentionally be empty or emptied

The good thing here is that buyer can still be able to access Shop button on Mobile App in your devices.

I hope the above clarifies and I want to thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We are always looking for ways to better our service.

(HOLY COW what a terrible implementation of this change). This also makes me re-evaluate using Facebook Shops as far as time/effort vs reward. I know that something like only 1% of people exclusively use Facebook on a computer, but if you include people that use both a computer and a mobile device, it's like 20% of users (2022 data). Maybe I'm just an old curmudgeon. I use both.

I'm having the same problem and spent an hour yesterday on Meta chat only for them to send me an article from 2020! The article stated Facebook shops would only work on mobile first, then laptops and computers. My shop was working on my Mac Air less than a month ago! When I try to search for why my band pages shop won't work on a laptop, all of the suggestions are outdated. Please let me know if you find a solution and I will do the same for you! Basically the band page I manage for Crucifer, our shop works perfect on a mobile device, and it displays the shop button. When I use my laptop, work computer, my wife's laptop, the shop is missing, the shop button is gone. If I try typing in the URL for my shop, that big grey/black screen pops up with the picture of a wrench saying this content isn't available right now. I have tried messing with every setting to no avail. Anyone else dealing with this?

It seems that an 'm' has accidentally found its way into my safari browser when launching Facebook. It now always launches the mobile version, no matter how many times I retype or delete the m, it autocorrects and it will only launch the mobile site. I have tried to delete browser history to no effect. What can be done?

Thanks Eric, I have tried all and it is still faulty. Now I have managed to relauch Facebook properly, but it only shows certain sites from the notifications menu. The moment I tap on my account or on home, it relaunches the mobile version. I am wondering if it is a Facebook issue as well. Anyway, I prefer to use it on my mobile devices at this stage since it is a pain on the mac.

On Facebook's mobile website on my sister's phone, when you click the messages tab, it first opens Play Store opened on Messenger app (or, it opens Messenger if it's installed). If you click back, the messages page is properly displayed, but if you click on a conversation the same thing happens -- Play Store pops up, but when you click back, the proper conversation page is loaded in Chrome.Phone: Moto G 3rd gen, Android 6.0.1

On my phone the mobile website in Chrome works just fine -- there's a button that suggests installing Messenger, but I can normally browse and use messages. Phone: OnePlus 2, Android 5.1.1 (OxygenOS 2.2.1)

If you don't want to install another app, there's a way around it. Although not elegant, you can tell Chrome to "Request desktop site" from the device's menu button. Have to manually change the URL from m.facebook.com to www.facebook.com afterwards, and the site is, as expected, large and unwieldy. But it works.

Just realized I was responding to the duplicate question, but here's another solution: Use Adblock Browser. It's a free browser that disables a lot of ads, and even though some mobile sites might act strange (which is why I still use Chrome), it stops facebook from opening up the Play Store. Hope that helps.

hello, so i run a samsung fold 4 on EE bought around november 2022 and a older iphone max i think on O2, i have tried every combination of sims in different handsets, and a new sim in the fold4, and completely reseting the fold4 to factory default. along with 4 members of EE staff trying to fix this issue. When i have the fold4 connected to any wifi system( be it home based or mobile broadband or public hotspot) i can use facebook and messenger like every other normal phone. however the moment i turn off wifi or disconnect from a wifi network and it defaults to mobile broadband EE or O2 the facebook/messenger/instagram all stop working or loading with page timed out or loading hang messages. i can surf the internet fine on google and samsung browser and such and watch youtube fine but all META applications go dead. because of my job and such i cannot afford to be without the phone for 2 weeks like all the service companies are telling me and been honest after the mess of a switch over last year with EE and yourselves to get a case and stylus and charger ( really disappointed with samsung now) i am reluctant to have to fully reset the phone and send it in to get it looked at, as it is starting to cause me a financal problem with people not able to contact me on my company facebook messenge service when i have a ipad and iphone that i dont really like using that works fine, however i am getting to my last straw and am considering migrating all my stuff to another brand (oppo/sony/iphone/whomever) which would be 2 tablets and 2 phones and associated docking stations/ accessories due to reliability issues. been in the tv trade and for over 28 years recommending samsung products in my daily conversations with many poeple i am finding it dificult to do such with a problem on this phone every other month and now this is happening and i am just losing faith in your products and service. so this is my last try of been passed from pillar to post in requesting someone contact me to please give me a solution or a path to follow that does not leave me without a phone or send me looking at other avenues of brands and makes of handset. i am not adverse to going to my local samsung repair centre at manchester trafford centre if its still there but i will say i dont want to be coming away empty handed and waiting 2 weeks for my phone to come back just thinking about the loss of earnings and disruption to my company even though i have already had that with having to reset my handset twice already. i hope you can help and not just give me the generic websites or answer that i have already tried. please either call me with a human UK voice or give me a phone number of someone who is able to answer the question regarding this fault before i loose my mind and sell all the samsung stuff in favour of the competitors options. many thanks, Paul

The rapid rise in users engaging with Facebook via smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices poses another challenge. In December, the company reported, 945 million monthly active users worldwide accessed Facebook via a mobile application or a mobile version of the site, up 39% from December 2012. Of those 945 million, nearly a third (296 million) were mobile-only users.

When designing your Facebook cover photo, you need to be careful because the cover image is displayed differently on mobile and desktop. Although, designing with safe zones in mind will get you a Facebook cover photo that will display properly on both devices.

With all that being said, we recommend using the Facebook cover photo size of 820 pixels by 360 pixels and designing within the safe zones. This will ensure that none of the critical components of your cover photo are getting cut off on mobile devices or on desktop. 0852c4b9a8
