I just wanted to point out to someone an issue that has recently come up between Evernote and my AdBlock plugin for Chrome. This only started happening a few days ago, but my notes were coming up with a title only; absolutely no body text. I tried refreshing, hard refreshing, restarting, etc. Finally, I noticed a little "1" bubble on my adblock button, as if it had blocked a popup or something. I disabled AdBlock for Evernote (domain level), and voila! Problem solved. Just thought I'd share.

There are often such cases where Adblocker blocks those sites, ads, and windows that it considers harmful to your PC or that contain spam. This is a pretty good function, it's like an antivirus for advertising and for all kinds of harmful information. I honestly like how such applications work. Personally, I use something like that. I had recently read about adblock for chrome and removed an adblocker from that list. No ads or unwanted sites appear now. I didn't even expect how beneficial it could be.

I don't know why, but this happens to me very often with various ad blocks, can anyone advise a good ad block that won't block everything in a row that appears in my browser? I'm sorry that I'm writing in such an old topic, I'm just not sure that I want to create a new topic just to find an adblock.

As far as I know, most of the Adblock extensions work the same way. You will not be able to get rid of your problem since the AdBlock performs its primary task, blocking pop-ups that it considers unnecessary. If you want the AdBlock to stop interfering with your browser, then reconfigure your ad blocker so that it stops blocking ads where you don't need this kind of feature. If you still want to find another, more reliable AdBlock, then I advise you to visit a similar article softwaretesttips.com , where you can find a list of the best adblockers.

Chrome's new adblock-limiting extension plan is still on. The company paused the rollout of the new "Manifest V3" extension format a year ago after an outcry over how much it would damage some of Chrome's most popular extensions. A year later, Google is restarting the phase-out schedule, and while it has changed some things, Chrome will eventually be home to inferior filtering extensions.

I have adblock plus extension in Chrome, but it eats up too much memory causing browsing to be slow or even hanging at times. Is there a way to tackle this or any alternate ad blocking tool which is not memory intensive?

Thanks for all the help. It has been an interesting discussion. In the meantime I did find this solution, -ads-chrome-ios/ (using a VPN), that could be workable. Have you had any experience with this concept. Seems like it might impact performance a bit.

Thanks for you help. The adblock program you recommended has done its job. There is still a small video box in the lower right but perhaps it will disappear if I subscribe to the billable version. The screen looks naked without all the ads and performance is up.

Usage of adblocker on youtube is not allowed as adblockers prevent vital revenue getting to google, which is a security risk and violates the EULA, you risk your google account being suspended if you use adblockers, this is why adblockers are not allowed on the chrome web store.

Yes, I am able to open a website, fill it, and login using 1Password both when I open the matching site and straight from the browser extension when my ad blocker is disabled. As it turns out, I am using a lighter-weight adblock plugin called uBlock (please see attached). Perhaps it is uBlock - what extension are you using that is working correctly, if you don't mind my asking...AdBlock or Adblock Plus? Another?

Now, I should mention that I first installed that years ago and don't know much about it or how it's different from other adblock extensions, but I don't recall ever having a problem with it. Looks like it's made by adblockplus.org.

By the way, something else you should try (if you haven't already done so) is to disable the adblock extension, then restart Chrome, and then re-enable it. It's possible the restart of Chrome can make a difference with this issue.

If that doesn't help, you can try resetting the adblock extension back to default settings, if possible. This might help if you've added additional rules or customized any settings in that extension which might be causing the conflict with 1Password.

I only mention this because version 3.3 appears to be a later version of the same filter, but it doesn't let 1Password work. I did note that it is version 1.8.11 that I have installed in Safari, my usual browser. Maybe this report will help someone else. Both of these have identical icons, but only one says its from adblockplus.org, You want the latter.

my initial goal for pi-hole is that i don't have to watch ad while using youtube app on ios. i dont seem to have any ad while using PC on google chrome with Adblock.

I wonder how we could use Adblock's list in pi-hole? i tried straight copy and paste, didnt have much luck.

Our forms are very susceptible to blocking software (uBlock Origin, Adblock Duckduckgo etc) so if a customer is using any of those it's very likely they didn't get shown the pop-up, and therefore won't be counted. I know from personal experience that even with adblockers, sites do place CSS or some element as a replacement on their site that asks for visitors to disable adblockers. 0852c4b9a8
