I downloaded the 2024 calendar starting on a Monday from the Oct 27th comment from amianida. Problem is it came in view only & I can't seem to make it editable or send it to trash. Any suggestions to do one or the other?

Easiest way for me on my laptop was to just drag and drop the file onto a new note. It saves it in the note as an attachment, and once you open the attachment it will import the template and automatically create a new note with the calendar format

Hi all, first time on the forums. Just purchased Affinity Designer and hoping this can replace my need for Adobe Illustrator. First thing I was planning on doing was create a collection of 12 monthly calendars for 2019. I do this for my mother's business each year. I was looking around but don't seem to see anything simple which is what I am looking for. I also put some custom fields to be filled out by hand on specific calendar days. I was looking for something in this style:

I'm using the "Family Event Calendar" excel template, and I would like to modify it to have a start and end date and highlight the days in between on the monthly tabs associated with the date. I don't know how to add the formulas without messing up all the existing formulas/rules.

There are SO MANY templates for calendars, could I ask you to post a copy of the actual template you're working with, so we who would like to help don't have to take time to search and possibly find a different one anyway.

Thanks! I didn't realize there were templates you could SEARCH for. And a host of them. Useful to know, although I still am skeptical of their real value, if only because of precisely the difficulty that this thread is revealing==they're great in what they are designed to deliver, but almost invariably very difficult to modify by the very population that is most inclined to use them.

The thing you're trying to do is a breeze in my Mac's built-in calendar software. Unless I'm mistaken, it would be in MIcrosoft Outlook, Google calendar, and so on. There are also calendar templates in Word and PowerPoint: I just looked at them, and probably would find one of the Word templates easier to use for your purpose here, with making various highlights for industry shows during the year. A lot more variety is possible with colors, text... You would have to put the show into each date manually....

The steps are similar for the little calendars upper right, except that to hide the original Sunday columns there you need to first unmerge the cells in the header of each of those tables (select the header and choose 'Unmerge Cells' from the Table menu). After unmerging, drag the formula in A1 over one cell to the right and then hide column A. And finally select the cells in the header and merge again.

A lot of the math for the calendar, if you're curious, is in hidden rows and columns in the table on the upper left that displays the date and year. Unless you are a lot better at calendar math than I am, best not to mess with it, though.?

I saw your post after I clicked the 'Reply' button. Certainly is a clever template, isn't it! I was counting on you or somebody else to go in and change a formula here or there and have the whole thing magically shift to Monday first, because I failed miserably in my attempts at that. Then I tried adding a column "just to see what would happen" ... and liked the results.

Then I realised you meant the text (weekdays) in the main calendar and in the little Previous Month and Following Month calendars. I was trying to combine your brilliant solution with SG's brilliant solution. Two different solutions!

I don't feel like I really understand all of what they did with that calendar still. What I did notice is that every day is dependent on the one before and A2 has a unique formula that referers to the Month and Year table. Month and Year::$A$4 shows the first day of the month and year. Month and Year::$A$5 finds the WEEKDAY(date, first-day). and that pointed to A3. It was an interesting exercise is solving something without understanding all the steps between. The joy of a solution with the lingering unease of incomprehension. A great combination actually. If they really wanted to confuse us the could have made my so-called Day headings automatic and we could never have figured it out.

I have always found constructing calendars a challenge. Different days in each month, leap years, start the week on a Sunday or a Monday. Like vesterberg, I like to start on a Monday. Then Saturday and Sunday are nice and snug on the right (weekend events often run for two days).

It simply constructs the first day of the month from the Popup choices for month and year and using a day of 1. It figures out what day of the week that is (which depends on q's factor) and also gets the last day of the month. That's it! (Rows 8 through 14 are for the previous month and next month calendars and make it all look more complicated than it is).

I recently started doing something ultra nerdy: I created a calendar template that contains all the elements of a good day. Like scaffolding, my calendar template is there not to control or confine, but to support and secure. It has been life-changing.

I'd like to insert holidays with their names into each monthly display. I am using holidays from several countries so I imagine easiest is populating list from Google or calendar service and converting .ics to .csv for Numbers. I'm building a list for 2021 currently, but would be for future years as well

When I changed the English "January" to "Enero" (Spanish), the large grid placed the dates for December, and the smaller month-before and month-after calendars were populated with the correct dates for November and January respectively.

I get Calendar app is better in many ways as a functioning calendar and integrates with everything better. I am assembling the 12-year months for a fine art landscape/nature photography calendar. With the calendar and holidays I combine it into a pdf with images.

That's not hard to do. Just select all the tables (I count 4), command-c to copy, then click further down the canvas and command-v to paste. Then repeat, selecting 8 tables, etc. When you have copy-pasted enough months, just change the month and year in each monthly calendar as needed.

Yes, you can change the current month to another one, but I was looking for an option that created a 12-14 month calendar that I could scroll down month by month, or view to the left in smaller versions like Pages does when creating a multipage document. I need to have a calendar layout that shows the whole year + on the screen when I need to plug-in dates for planning.

Thank you for this awesome post. This is a very simple effective solution. However, it was too simple for me. I wanted to make a Kanban like calendar. I only wanted to see working days of the week. I wanted extra sub-bullets breaking up each week. Therefore, I exercised my excel skills to create something a little more power. Anyone with a little bit of OPML knowledge (I knew none before I started), and some good excel knowledge could modify my sheet to get a different setup.

Hi everyone! Im a monday.com newbie so bear with me! When setting up our social media workflow and calendar items are getting duplicated. They appear on the day I created the item and the day I want it scheduled for. Any ideas why that is happening?

Hey @JKnappe could be you have 2 date columns both showing in the calendar. if you open up the calendar settings you should see an option of which dates to show here is an example.
