Audition Online (Korean: ), also known as X-BEAT in Japan and popularly called AyoDance in Indonesia, is a free-to-play multiplayer online casual Rhythm game produced by T3 Entertainment. It was originally released in South Korea in 2004 and has been localized by various publishers around the world. Boston Conservatory at Berklee requires an audition and/or interview for all applicants, depending on your major. Once your application is submitted, you will receive instructions to register for your audition in the application portal. If your major requires a pre-screen, you must first submit your pre-screen materials by the deadline in order to be considered for a live audition.
Audition requirements vary by program, instrument, and degree. Pre-screen materials are required of undergraduate musical theater applicants and select music programs. Incomplete audition requirements may result in an incomplete application. Find the pre-screen and audition requirements for your program below.
Applicants schedule auditions through the application portal under My Events. Instructions will be sent via email within 24 hours of application submission. If your major requires a pre-screen, you must first submit pre-screen materials in order to be considered for a live audition. Audition registrations are available on a first-come, first-served basis as applications are submitted.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to audition in person at the Conservatory whenever possible. The Conservatory recognizes, however, that travel can be costly and offers alternatives in the form of regional, online, and recorded auditions, as permitted. Regional auditions are conducted by faculty adjudicators and are considered equal to on-campus auditions. Please view the following audition dates for details.
If you need to change or cancel your audition, simply log back in to your application portal, scroll down to My Events, and update your registration or sign up for a new event. Please note that audition dates and times are subject to change. You will be notified in the event that any changes to your audition are required. Before the day of your audition, make sure to complete a Zoom test meeting to ensure your computer and internet work with this system. Please test your camera and microphone as well. You may need to download and run Zoom on your desktop in order to join. Please watch this Zoom how-to video for details on how to join a meeting.
We suggest using one microphone, as multiple microphones may overload the system and cause your audio to cut out. If you require multiple microphones, please make sure they're compatible with the Zoom platform and you know how to connect them as your main audio source prior to the beginning of your audition.
On the day of your online audition, we recommend asking other users on your network to refrain from taking up bandwidth during your audition (e.g., downloading files or streaming video), as well as closing all other applications and windows on your computer. The week of your audition, you will receive an email with detailed instructions about logging in to the online audition lobby. Once you're logged in, use the chat feature to connect with an admissions staff member who will assign you to your audition breakout room at your scheduled time.

All members of an Act must either (i) be a United States citizen; (ii)be a legal permanent resident of the United States; (iii) possess a current employment authorization card (EAD card) or have unrestricted employment authorization; or (iv) be in the United States legally at the time of the initial audition. All members of each act will be required to show proof of unrestricted employment authorization or have appropriate visa status in the United States that allows them to compete on the Program prior to live shows
Self-tape and virtual video auditions are often used in the casting process for Performers and Actors. With online communication more important than ever due to COVID-19, it is also now essential that if you want to audition or interview for drama school, college or university, you know how to succeed with an online interview or a remote self-tape audition.
Before we get into our guide to a perfect self-tape, you might be wondering what a self-tape audition is. If you are asked to audition from home or submit an online interview, you will need to film yourself performing or answering set questions, either via a live video call or by sending a video file electronically.

Leggings should convert to footless, so that students can be barefoot for the modern section of the audition. Students should wear ballet shoes for the ballet portion. Dancers should not wear shorts, leg warmers, skirts, t-shirts, or other loose-fitting clothing. Hair should be neat and pulled back away from the face and neck.
Acceptance to the Scholarship Program is by audition. Students must re-audition annually in order to maintain their Scholarship. Auditionees should be prepared to take ballet and modern classes. Please view the School dress code for appropriate audition attire. Scholarship support may be extended for as long as five years for those who enroll while still in high school.

They want to know if you can count music properly and exactly. You actually can miss a note or two, as far as the notes go and you can still come out okay, but if your counting and rhythms are off, then you may have to go back to the drawing board. It really just depends on who else is auditioning that day, so keep your head high and just do your best.

Dancers applying for entrance in fall 2024 must submit prescreening videos. Dancers who receive favorable prescreening results must participate in an in-person callback audition in order to be considered for admission.
Actors must register for and attend one of the scheduled in-person auditions. If you are required to prescreen, you will not be able to register for an in-person audition unless you have received favorable prescreening results.
