Hi! My name is Fredi. I am a Neural Engineering researcher in the NeuroRobotics Lab at the University of Utah (home of the Utah Slanted Electrode Array).
My Ph.D. research lies at the intersection of Robotics, Neuroscience, and Artificial Intelligence. I combine expertise in these three areas to develop neuromotor interfaces and assistive robots to improve the quality of life of people who have been affected by stroke, spinal cord injury, amputations, and other neuromotor diseases.
I am incredibly passionate about Neurotechnology in general, and I feel grateful that I get to shape the future of Human-Computer Interaction and Human Augmentation.
Thanks for stopping by. I use this website to share the evolution of my work throughout the years. Please feel free to reach out if you want to learn more or would like support reproducing some of the projects or results presented here.
