THE FUTURE OF ROBOTICS

LEADING THE INDUSTRY BY TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION

About Us

Located in Cypress, Texas, the Cy-Borgs are a robotics team dedicated to creating top-notch FRC robots to teach high schoolers.

Cy-Borgs started in 2010 and has competed every year since in the FIRST Robotics Competition. In our quest to become world champions, we develop advanced robots to compete in a specialized game, with only six weeks to go from concept to finished product.

Our overarching goal, however, is to prepare kids ages 14-18 to become industry professionals not only in areas which directly affect robotics, but also those which see a more conventional office job. This is done by letting our kids run the team, brainstorm and develop their own ideas, give hands on experience, and provide leadership opportunities.

Will You RISE to the Challenge?

We are extremely elated for 2020's game, INFINITE RECHARGE! Our next game will be Channelview!

We're preparing like crazy as we gather our best Hyper-drives and train our Jedi for battle. However, we need YOUR help to make it possible! Whether you have valuable skills and wish to teach the next generation, are interested in getting your hands dirty building some robots, or want to help in another way, WE NEED YOU!

What even is FRC?

FRC stands for FIRST Robotics Competition. Believe me, I know how confusing an acronym IN an acronym is. FIRST stands for For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. Oh boy is that a long one. However, it is an extremely important organization that gives our team the chance to help many young adults explore STEM fields in high school and develop critical skills that are fundamental to engineering as a whole.
