Introductions
My name is Jessica Huber. I was born in Trier, Germany. Trier is close to the Luxembourg border, in west Germany. It was founded by the Romans and has a rich medieval history as well. I was raised bilingual, speaking German to my mother and English to my father.
In 2005, my family moved to Arkansas where my father is from. While there,I recieved a BA in German literature in 2011 and an MA in 2016 from the University of Arkansas. During graduate school, I had the opportunity of teaching German during which I fell in love with teaching.
My husband and I moved to Texas in 2017. We both speak German and are trying to raise our son to be bilingual as well. My son has been attending a German Saturday School, which I also started teaching for in the summer of 2021.
