Welcome to my webpage! I'm Francisca Toro, currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Barcelona in the Economics Theory Section of the Department of Economics. My academic and professional journey has brought me from Santiago, Chile, to Barcelona, Spain. Here, I'm involved in the TRIGGER project, focusing on the intricate economic quantification of climate change and its health-related impacts.

My research interests lie in Environmental and Natural Resources Economics, Gender Economics, Regional Economics, and Policy Analysis. I use a variety of methods like Multisectoral and Multiregional modeling, Econometrics, and Optimization to get clearer insights into these areas. Whether it’s evaluating the emissions derived from consumption, gender-energy-poverty nexus or exploring the economic implications of greenhouse gas emissions. My aim is to offer useful, evidence-based input to the ongoing conversations about sustainability and equity.
