Bio
I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Padova.
My research is empirical and investigates how corporate governance and financial reporting function in contexts of opacity and deviance, such as mafia-infiltrated entities, tax-evasion networks, and opaque business groups. I primarily focus on privately held firms, and I increasingly explore how artificial intelligence can be applied to accounting and financial crime detection.
