Our philosophy

L'EAFC also welcomes adults looking not only for new knowledge but also for a valorisation of informal knowledge. Our Institute deserves therefore its place in the optic of Lifelong Learning.

We want to encourage the mobility of our students for training (traineeship) and fulfilling purposes.

Enable our students to improve the expertise in the social domain seems to be a major asset, in a time where urgency and profitability spare no one.

Exchanges of dynamic and constructive practices enable everyone to gain more assurance or question the mainsteam educative intervention methods, to develop critical thinking which is vital to the training and practice, to innovate, to adapt their vision, to mesure how much different cultural contexts bring reflexion.

What about when they come back?

When coming back to Belgium, our students will have the opportunity to share their discoveries: the sharing of those good practices will constitute a permanent pool of ideas, regularly improved, adaptable to various professional environments.

Our short and long term projects

At first (2018), we aim to secure the departure of our volunteer students as part of a final Bac2 or Bac3 traineeship (variable duration). The opportunity to travel abroad, in a european partner institution, will be given to level 2 BacEduc students, and then level 3 BacEduc students

The outgoing students will be given the opportunity to do an traineeship, or part of one, to:

discover new practices
share theirs
exchange with the local social workers
start a research process, in order to do their "épreuve intégrée"
...

But our project doesn’t stop there ,

we aim at developing other axes depending on future possible opportunities :

plan meetings between teachers in our region, as well as between foreign teachers and teachers coming from other communities of Belgium
prepare to receive foreign students with the help of partners here in Belgium
prepare to receive foreign professors, trainers in our Institute or in partner Institutes in Belgium
prepare to receive field professionals to talk about themes not just limited to Belgium
prepare the departure of some of our teachers and trainers as part of a formation or of a visit on the field
