We believe that kids shouldn't be priced out of playing competitive soccer. We're also staunch advocates of kids playing multiple sports. Our goal is to help raise well rounded young women who may (or may not) go on to play at the collegiate level. We want to create a learning atmosphere where a commitment to growth and improvement is valued over wins & loses. The lessons they learn on the pitch should extend far beyond it.
In keeping with this philosophy:
Our practices are generally intense and we expect maximum effort from all of the girls on the team. Life Lesson - nothing comes without hard work.
If the field is open, we practice. Hot - we practice. Cold - we practice. Wind - we practice. Rain - we practice. Lightning - ok, lightning we don't practice. Life Lesson - life isn't always comfortable. Sometimes you gotta push through. There's bonding in shared misery.
We have zero tolerance for lack of effort or a critical attitude. A lack of effort and a negative attitude are infectious diseases for any team. Life Lesson - Lift up those around by setting a great example. You can't always control your circumstances, but you can control your attitude.
Coach Myles and Coach John (VYSA D-license) have coached at both the rec and travel levels and share a passion for the game and teaching it to the next generation. We're assisted by a cadre of former high school and collegiate players during any given practice.
This is, above all else, a wonderful group of kids and parents that we thoroughly enjoy coaching and working with. The team consists of a core group of players that have played together since 2021, as well as some more recent additions that joined the team in the fall of 2024. We have girls attending multiple area high schools, to include - Woodson, Robinson, Lake Braddock, Fairfax HS, and home-school players.
If your primary focus is on getting your child onto the most competitive team you can as she strives towards a college scholarship - this is probably not the team for you. If you're looking for a great group of kids (and parents) where your daughter will be pushed to constantly improve her game while having a great time, then come check us out.
When are practices?
For the Spring 2025 season we are practicing on Tue / Thu nights from 6:30 to 8:30 in Fairfax City. We will strive to keep this practice slot for the 2025-26 season as well, though this is contingent upon field availability. We also run (optional) summer and winter training sessions, typically 60-90min twice per week.
What are the costs?
Costs vary slightly depending on how many tournaments we do during the year (we strive for 2) as well as costs for kits and practice jerseys. You can plan on all-in costs for the 2025-26 season to be approximately $500 - $750.
How does my daughter tryout?
We feel the best way to evaluate your child's fit for the team (and the team's fit for your child) is to have them participate in two or three of our practice sessions. This allows us to evaluate not only their skills and level of effort and commitment, but the overall chemistry of the team. It also allows you and your child to decide if our practice structure and coaching approach is the right fit.

How far do we have to travel?
Our regular season games are predominantly is the DC metro area though so games can be as far away as northern West Virginia, Warrenton, or Southern Maryland. We primarily participate in local tournaments (usually 1 fall and 1 spring), but may consider out-of-town tournaments if players and parents are up for it.
What are expectations for practice / game attendance?
While we are supportive of players doing multiple sports, this is still a competitive team where practices and games are considered mandatory. If there are conflicts with other sports or activities, we ask that parents notify us of those in advance so that we can make accommodations if needed. If you are unable to attend the majority of practices, this probably isn't the right club for you.
How is playing time handled?
All players in good standing will receive playing time. We keep a relatively small roster specifically to maximize playing time for our players. We do, however, reserve the right to sit players who are not putting forth effort, not responding to coaching, or other reasons as deemed necessary by the coaching staff.
