Privacy Policy

FP Player ("the app", "we", "us") is a free Android app for opening FP share links to download files or watch videos. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain language.

1. Information the app handles

Share links you open. When you open or paste an FP share link, the app sends the link code to our server so it can find the file and hand it to you. The server records the visit (time, approximate country from your IP address, and a hashed form of your IP address and device type) to count downloads fairly and to prevent abuse.

Download history on your device. The app keeps a short list of recently opened files on your phone only. It is never sent to us and you can clear it by clearing the app's data.

Language and settings. Your chosen language and the app's settings are stored on your phone only.

Analytics. The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which screens are used and whether downloads and playback work. This includes an app-instance identifier, device model, operating system version, app version, country and coarse usage events. It does not include your name, e-mail or the content of your files.

Advertising. The app shows ads to stay free. Advertising partners may receive your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device information and interaction with ads in order to show and measure ads. See section 3.

2. What we do not collect

• No account, no name, no e-mail address, no phone number, no password.

• No contacts, photos, messages, microphone or precise location.

• We do not read the files you download; they go straight from storage to your phone.

3. Advertising partners

Ads are delivered through the following services. Each has its own privacy policy and lets you control personalised advertising:

• Google AdMob — policies.google.com/privacy

• Unity LevelPlay / ironSource (Unity Ads) — unity.com/legal/privacy-policy

• Meta Audience Network — facebook.com/privacy/policy

• Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) — liftoff.io/privacy-policy

You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

4. Permissions the app asks for

• Internet / network state — to reach our server, load files and show ads.

• Notifications (Android 13 and newer) — to show download progress and completion. You can decline; downloads still work.

• Storage (only on Android 9 and older) — to save downloaded files to your Downloads folder.

5. How long information is kept

Visit records used for counting and abuse prevention are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for Firebase according to its settings (up to 14 months). Information stored on your phone stays until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

6. Children

FP Player is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because the app has no accounts, most of your information is either on your phone (under your control) or held in hashed or aggregated form. To make a request, e-mail us at info@mail4share.lol.

8. Security

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Download links expire automatically. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect information.

9. Third-party links and content

Files and videos opened through the app are uploaded and shared by other users of the FP service. We are not responsible for their content or for websites reached through ads.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
