This Privacy Policy explains how Squad XI ("the app") handles information. Squad XI is developed by Anish Gupta. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
In short: Squad XI does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not send your data to any server operated by the developer. Everything you set up — your survey answers, your preferences, your squads and your saved teams — stays on your device.
Squad XI is an unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League.
The developer collects nothing. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no registration, and no analytics or crash-reporting service running in the app.
The app stores the following on your device only, so that it can remember your setup between launches:
Your answers to the onboarding survey and the mode you chose (Do It For Me, Guided, or Full Control)
Your squad-building inputs: budget, preferred clubs, risk appetite, fixture horizon, form weighting, per-club limit, must-have players and blocked players
Your app settings: accent colour, player-card detail, whether player photos are shown, and your default budget
Squads you save, including the players, your starting XI, your captain and vice-captain
If you enter one, the squad you already own — the players, your bank and your free transfers
This information is written to your device's standard app storage (UserDefaults and a file inside the app's own Documents folder). It is never transmitted to the developer, and the developer has no ability to see it.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar, health data, or notifications.
Squad XI shows live Fantasy Premier League data. To do that, your device connects directly to servers operated by the Premier League:
fantasy.premierleague.com — for player prices, form, statistics, injury status, gameweeks and fixture difficulty
resources.premierleague.com — for player photographs
These requests are made straight from your device to those servers. As with any request to any website, those servers receive standard technical information such as your IP address and the type of device making the request. The developer does not control, receive, or have access to that information. The Premier League's handling of it is governed by its own privacy policy.
No other third party receives anything. The app contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs) of any kind.
If — and only if — you choose to import your existing team, you type your Fantasy Premier League team ID into the app. That number is sent to fantasy.premierleague.com so the app can look up the squad, bank balance and squad value that Fantasy Premier League already publishes for that ID.
This is entirely optional. You can instead enter your 15 players by hand, in which case no team ID is ever sent anywhere. Your team ID is not sent to the developer or to anyone else, and it is stored only on your device.
Squad XI contains no third-party analytics and no third-party advertising.
Specifically, the app does not:
include any analytics, telemetry, measurement or crash-reporting service
include any advertising network, ad SDK, or sponsored content
track you across apps or websites, or request permission to do so
build a profile of you, or use your data for marketing
sell, rent, or share your information with anyone, because it does not collect it in the first place
Squad XI is suitable for a general audience. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, and it contains no advertising or tracking. Because no personal information is collected, none is knowingly collected from children.
You are in control of everything the app stores:
Change any setting or input at any time from the app's Settings screen or the inputs screen
Settings → Stored data → Delete saved teams removes every squad you have saved
Settings → Stored data → Reset everything clears your survey answers, inputs, settings, saved teams and any squad you entered, returning the app to a first-launch state
Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all of its stored data
Because nothing is held on a server, there is nothing to request, export, or ask the developer to delete.
The developer does not retain any of your information, because none is collected. Information stored on your device is kept until you delete it or remove the app.
Your information stays within the app's own storage on your device, protected by your device's operating system and whatever passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID protection you have enabled. All network connections the app makes are encrypted using HTTPS.
Squad XI can be used anywhere. Because the app stores your information on your own device and sends nothing to the developer, using it does not involve any international transfer of your data by the developer. Requests for Fantasy Premier League data are handled by the Premier League's own servers, which may be located in a different country from you.
This policy may be updated from time to time, for example if the app gains new features. Any changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
