1. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE Foundly ("the Application," "We," "Us," or "Our") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users while providing a robust social discovery platform. This Privacy Policy governs your access to and use of the Application and explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you utilize our services, including our proprietary social media identification and community-based contact naming features.
2. DATA COLLECTION AND CLASSIFICATION We collect information that you provide directly to us, information from third parties, and information collected automatically.
User-Provided Information: Includes registration data, such as your phone number, name, and social media identifiers.
Community Contribution Data (Contact Integration): To power our "Community Identification" feature, the Application may request access to your device’s address book. If consent is granted, the Application processes contact metadata including names and phone numbers. All such data is processed via one-way cryptographic hashing (e.g., SHA-256) to ensure the raw data is never stored in a human-readable format. This anonymized relationship mapping is used solely to generate aggregated insights regarding how numbers are labeled within the community ecosystem.
3. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING We process your information under the following legal constructs: (a) Performance of a Contract; (b) Legitimate Interests in providing an accurate social directory; (c) Explicit Consent provided at the time of data ingestion; and (d) Compliance with Legal Obligations.
4. DATA RETENTION AND ANONYMIZATION Foundly employs rigorous data minimization principles. Personal identifiers are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined herein. Once a user terminates their account, personally identifiable information (PII) is purged, although anonymized, aggregated metadata derived from hashed contact datasets may persist as part of our global algorithmic directory to maintain service integrity for other users.
5. THIRD-PARTY DATA DISCLOSURE We do not sell your personal data. However, we may share anonymized or aggregated information with:
Service Providers: Third-party vendors performing analytics, hosting, or security audits.
Legal Mandates: When required by subpoena, court order, or to prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
6. USER RIGHTS AND OPT-OUT MECHANISMS Users residing in certain jurisdictions (e.g., EU/EEA under GDPR) possess rights to access, rectify, or erase their data. We provide an in-app "Request Data Deletion" feature and a web-based "Number Unlisting" portal for non-users who wish to have their contact associations removed from our hashed database.
