Shakerag Elementary School
Established in 2013, we are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the express purpose of enhancing and enriching the educational experience of our children attending Shakerag Elementary School. Our Foundation believes that the children of Shakerag should have the opportunity to celebrate their learning achievements and also be inspired to become leaders in their own lives.
Over the years, The Foundation has focused on fundraising efforts that have included:
• Fun Runs
• Gift Card Sales
• Golf Tournaments
• Parent and Corporate Sponsorships
• Spirit Night Dinners
Through these efforts, The Foundation has been able to purchase and provide the following:
• Classroom iPads and/or Chrome books
• Interactive White Boards
• Classroom leveled libraries for Kindergarten through 2nd grades
• Printers for all classroom teachers
• Leadership trainings
• Various software support
• Facility enhancements, including the installation of a fence in 2019
• Gift cards for monthly staff appreciation meetings
To foster our belief in inspiring students to become great leaders, The Foundation also sponsors a “When I Grow Up Day” for 4th and 5th grade students. It provides children the opportunity to meet and learn about a variety of career opportunities that currently exist in the world. We work with Shakerag Business Partners, community individuals and most importantly, our Shakerag parents, to provide a wide array of career possibilities for the students.
