In the Bernese Oberland, Sonja works as sommelier at "L'Auberge du Cerf", the restaurant owned by her boyfriend Martin. She meets Rajah, an Indian cook, with whom she falls in love. Rajah's cooking is soon integrated in the menu of the restaurant and receives immense success. But the original employer of the cook, Priya, a Mumbai actress, arrives and insists that Rajah is to go back with her to India.

But my husband wanted us to try making whole roast tandoori chicken at home by roasting the full tandoori chicken in the oven, and while initially I found it a little intimidating, I tried it out anyway, and boy oh boy, this was a whole different level of deliciousness.

The secret to getting perfectly crisp tandoori chicken skin (while keeping the chicken moist & juicy on the inside) is merely sprinkling some cornflour on the chicken before putting it in the oven.

I love the way you have detailed almost everything in the recipe, right from the measurements to how to handle the chicken in the oven. So, corn flour is the secret ingredient eh? Who would have thought ?

Back in the skillet, add the tandoori paste and bloom 30 seconds. Add the coconut milk and whisk until combined. Add the chicken thighs back to the skillet and nestle them in. Love love love this dish! My husband and I love making it together. We usually use chicken breasts instead of thighs, but tonight we tried the thighs. We like the breasts better personally. Can I give this 10 stars?!? Even my semi-picky 5yo (that refused to try Indian food) loved it! Because of 2 kids, I cut the cayenne back a ton and left out red pepper but it was still so flavorful and good. Definitely making this again!

I make this recipe on the regular and my husband loves it. Warm and spicy, and the rice gets a little crispy sometimes in the pan. Such an easy one-pan meal with ingredients I almost always have on hand. Highly recommend!

My partner made this last night at my request and we loved the roasted chickpeas but both felt the salad dressing was cloying. The tahini overpowered all the other flavours, even after he tried adjusting the flavor with lemon juice and maple syrup. I feel like it has great potential if we can find a more balanced dressing.

I love your recipes and really want to make this, but I can't stand bone-in chicken. Is it possible to use either chicken tenderloins or cut up chicken breasts? How would that effect the air-frying time?

I love the intriguing aroma and flavors of foods cooked in an Indian tandoor oven.
