Fortnite: Enable two-factor authentication and get emote - that's how it goes

Improved account security and an exclusive emote - what more could you want?

One of the most efficient methods to cut your Fortnite card is two-factor authentication. This option hasn't existed since yesterday, but when it gets to managing their information, many customers are a lot careless. Developer Epic Games also noted this: because of the moment hackers and other questionable numbers on the Internet have also discovered the success of the Battle Royale game-and are now attempting to create them cash-the company intends to boost overall safety.

However, to offer users a higher attraction for 2FA security than just a stolen account's latent risk (you can read the article here), designers press a very unique prize before your eyes: the exclusive Boogie Down Emote.

Now you're going to get this when you allow authentication with two factors. Basically, we're coping with a standard win - win scenario: you're receiving a sneaky animation and swindling your account.

What's 2FA at all, though? Essentially, this is a technique of security intended to prevent unlawful entry to your computer. This is achieved through an extra application that you need to enter when you enroll.

How to activate 2FA in Fortnite

Unfortunately, the unit is child's game and finished in less than five minutes-not just because of the boogie-down emote, you should spare notice. Here's how it's all accomplished:

  1. Surf EpicGames.com/2FA or go to the Epic website's file environments where you choose the "Password & Security" section.

  2. Scroll down this section until you see the "Authentication Two-Factor" tag.

  3. You only have to select "Authentication App" or "E-May Confirmation" here-based on the version you want to select.

The distinction is being told rapidly. Epic Games will give you an email using the email technique to the name contained in your file where your confirmation code will be received. You merely register it when you register your next application.

Alternatively, one of the various encryption applications can also be used. Epic proposes one of these:

  • Google Authenticator

  • Last Pass Authenticator

  • Microsoft Authenticator

  • Authy

Be sure to verify that you have your email address in advance for whichever technique you choose so that 2FA protection can be enabled.

Do I have to enter a random code every time I sign in?

No, don't worry, that's not necessary. Entering the code is only required if you log in of a new device for the first time after 2FA activation, you delete your browser cookies or your last registration is more than 30 days later.

How to get the boogie-down emote

If you have successfully activated two-factor authentication for your Fortnite account, you will receive the emote almost automatically. You do not need to make any further settings or similar settings. If you log in to the game in the normal way, you should now receive a pop-up message there. This reminds you of the 2FA protection that has been set up - an information that you will once again complete.

Even if you haven't received this message (it doesn't seem to be reliable to all players), you should now find the new boogie-down animation in your emotes. If not, it can help to restart the game.
