If you are interested in trying out water polo, attend our spring clinic and pick-up game on Saturday, February 22 from 2-3:30pm. The first 30 minutes will be a clinic designed to introduce new players to the game. This will be followed by a 1-hour informal pick-up game where new players will get to join our returning players for a fun scrimmage. The clinic is FREE for brand new players and all you need to bring is a swim suit and towel! Location: Cumming Aquatic Center (201 Aquatic Circle, Cumming, GA 30040).

About our Club

Thank you for your interest in the Forsyth Water Polo Club. Forsyth Water Polo is open to all Forsyth County high school and middle school students, and other students who do not have a school water polo team. We play a Fall competitive season, and a Spring developmental season. Our team’s focus is to develop new players and teach the principles of the game. No experience is necessary, however athletes should be strong swimmers and be comfortable in deep water.

Our club is a member of the Georgia High School Water Polo Association (GHSWPA). The GHSWPA consists of about 40 teams from the Greater Atlanta area, representing three co-ed divisions and a women’s division. During last Fall’s competitive season, Forsyth fielded three co-ed teams and a women’s team. Our ‘A’ team placed 4th in the Division 1 State Tournament. Please visit the GHSWPA website for all types of league information, including results, directions to pools, and league rules.

As with all student activities, we need parent support to make the team function smoothly. Our team is led by a Parent Board made up of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Club Administrator. All team parents volunteer in a variety of roles throughout the season, helping coordinate communications, provide game refreshments, serve as time keepers and scorekeepers during matches, and recruit sponsors to help offset our costs. We truly appreciate all the parental support that helps us grow this program each year.

Again, thank you all for your interest and we look forward to an exciting season.
