league history

the gwent central league has a long history (founding date uncertain)

it was originally the pontypool & district league, then it became the north east monmouthshire league, before it got its current name in the 70s.

for 2024/25 the league has 2 divisions - div 1 with 10 teams and div 2 with 11 teams.
