Decide on your risk tolerance: Consider your risk tolerance and determine the maximum percentage of your trading capital that you are willing to risk on a single trade. In this case, you want to risk 1% of your trading capital.

Calculate 1% of your trading capital: Multiply your trading capital by 0.01 (or divide it by 100) to calculate 1% of your trading capital. This will give you the maximum amount of money you can risk on a single trade.
