Forest Play Group

Details

Rhythm & Activities : The group begins with unstructured playtime and is followed by a time of singing and movement, and a seasonal puppet play. After this, we share a light homemade snack on picnic blankets. A simple nature-inspired craft is often offered as well.

Ages : Children birth through age 5, accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

When : Friday mornings 9:30-11:30. Drop-in one time, or come every week! RSVP on Thursdays (or before) to help us know how big of a snack to prepare. (If you forget or can't RSVP, please still come join us!!)

Where : The Nature Play Area at West Ridge Nature Preserve. Details here. (A porta-potty is conveniently located in the preserve nearby where the group meets.)

What to Bring : Bring a cup, bowl, and spoon for yourself and your child(ren). Dress in layers for the weather!

Cost : Suggested donation of $10/family each week to cover food & supplies.

Cancellation : In the event of cancellation, we will contact you using the email address that you provide and post a notice on the home page of this site. The group may be cancelled due to temperature is colder than 25 degrees, extreme wind, or thunderstorms. We will host the group in light rain. Dress for fun in the mud!
