Every camera consists of five (5) basic parts. it includes the following:
Light Tight Box – a box designed to keep light out and serve as a frame to hold other parts.
Lens – designed to collect or to focus the reflected light from an object to form an image on the film.
Shutter – designed to control the time during which the light reaches the film
Holder of the sensitized material – located at the opposite side of the lens designed to hold firmly the sensitized material to prevent the formation of the multiple or blurred image
View finder – designed to determine the field of view of the camera or the extent of the coverage of the given lens

Lens: The primary component that focuses light onto the image sensor.
Mirror: Reflects the light entering through the lens up into the viewfinder.
Pentaprism/Pentamirror: Redirects the light from the mirror to the viewfinder, allowing the photographer to see the scene through the lens.
Viewfinder Eyepiece: Optical system that shows the photographer the scene as it will be captured.
Shutter: Controls the duration of light exposure to the image sensor.
Image Sensor: Converts the light into an electronic signal to create the digital image.
Aperture: Regulates the amount of light passing through the lens.
Focusing Screen: Helps in achieving sharp focus by displaying the image formed by the lens.
Exposure Controls: Buttons, dials, and settings that allow the photographer to adjust settings like ISO, shutter speed, and aperture
Lens: Attaches to the front of the camera body and focuses light onto the film.
Lens Release Button: Allows you to detach the lens from the camera body.
Depth of Field Preview Button: Enables you to preview the depth of field before taking a shot.
Self-Timer Lever: Sets the camera to take a delayed shot.
Film Chamber: Where the film is loaded and advanced for each shot.
Shutter Curtain: Blocks light from reaching the film until the exposure is made.
Film Take-Up Spool: Winds the film after each exposure.
Mirror: Reflects light up into the viewfinder and flips up during exposure to allow light to reach the film.
