Welcome, Forensic Science Students, to Forensic Photography Class.
This is a 4-unit subject designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of crime scene photography and the documentation of physical evidence. The course will provide basic concepts and skills in forensic photography, including the history of photography, technical photography, and the principles and techniques used in documenting evidence for investigations.
If you have questions or concerns regarding the course, you may send a message to Professor CAM Gonzales through your designated class group chat, or you may email her at charmaine.gonzales@unc.edu.ph. Please note that each class has a Beadle, who serves as the official class representative. The Beadle is responsible for coordinating concerns and communicating with the professor on behalf of the class in order to properly manage and limit incoming messages.
To guide you throughout the semester, the policies and other essential course information are provided below. Students are expected to read and strictly comply with these guidelines.

Students who arrive 20 minutes late or more shall not be allowed to enter the classroom.
Three (3) instances of lateness shall be counted as one (1) absence.
Three (3) consecutive absences shall result in automatic dropping from the course.
In the absence of the instructor, students are required to wait 15 minutes before leaving the classroom.
Allowable absences shall not exceed the 21.6 hours.
Students who exceed the total allowable absences and fail to submit valid excuse letters—signed by the instructor, guardian, program head, and dean—on or before the midterm period will be dropped from the course to ensure fairness to other students.

Leaving the classroom during lectures, activities, or examinations is strictly prohibited, unless expressly permitted by the instructor.
No Cheating: Students are strictly prohibited from cheating during quizzes, tests, exams, or any other assessments.
13. Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited during class hours, especially when used for activities related to other subjects, accessing social media, or playing games while the class is ongoing. The instructor reserves the right to confiscate such devices and return them after one (1) week.
For activities submitted one (1) day late, the highest possible grade is 83%, with the final score based on the quality of the output. Activities submitted two (2) or more days late will receive a grade of 75%.
Activities submitted on time but not completed according to instructions shall receive reduced grades.
Students who are absent on an assessment day without a valid and approved excuse shall not be allowed to take quizzes, recitations, or similar assessments.
All examinations shall be taken on the scheduled date and time without exception.
Students are required to bring the Forensic Photography Workbook at all times.
Note: For Midterm, students who receive failing/low grades or have missing activities will be given an opportunity to comply by accomplishing and submitting the IP Form. For the Finals, the professor will remind students up to three (3) times to complete any missing activities, and extensions will be granted for a maximum of five (5) days after the original deadline. Students who fail to respond, take the final exams, or submit the required projects within the allowed time will receive a grade of zero for that criterion. Once grades are officially uploaded, the professor will no longer accept submissions or corrections.
