Foren1k: Forensic Photography This course is designed to provide the students with the basic concepts of crime scene photography and documentation of physical evidence. Topics will include the history of photography, forensic photography and technical photography.
CO1: Explain the major fields of forensic science and the fundamental concepts and historical development of photography as applied to law enforcement and criminal justice.
CO2: Demonstrate practical photography skills by applying the five fundamental elements of photography along with other photographic equipment accessories.
CO3: Apply systematic and accurate crime scene photography techniques by following standard forensic procedures and documenting evidence using proper equipment and methods.
CO4: Create a comprehensive visual documentation portfolio that includes crime scene photographs, properly prepared photographic evidence, standard mugshot captures, and suspect sketches for investigative and court-room use.
