When will the nursery be closed?
Our nursery will be open all year except for bank holidays and over the Christmas period. For example, for 2018 we will close 6pm on Friday 21st December and re-open 8am on Monday 7th January 2018. We will also be closed for x1 full day per term (x3 days per school year) for site management and staff training (dates to be confirmed).
What are the costs?
A long day will run from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (with a minimum booking requirement of 2 full days per week) at a cost of £45 per day.
A shorter day will run from 9am-3pm Monday to Friday (with a minimum booking requirement of 2 full days per week) at a cost of £35 per day.
All nursery fees will be pro-rata over 12 months and will be payable by direct debit.
Fees will be reviewed on an annual basis.
Why is there a two day minimum booking requirement?
Research has shown the positive impacts of Forest School/Outdoor Learning is embedded through multiple experiences that are delivered consistently over a longer period of time.
The minimum two days also allows children to settle confidently into nursery life and we will touch on this later.
What about the 2yr old 15 hours and 3yr old 30 hours free entitlement?
We will be accepting a limited number of children that meet the criteria for either the 15hrs or 30hrs free child care entitlement.
Please note that the entitlement does not come into effect until the first term after your child turns 2 or 3.
Will there be a school holiday club?
If your child attends nursery term time only (as above) but you would like to continue your child’s sessions during the school holidays, then we intend to offer holiday club sessions to your child and their siblings as a priority. These sessions can be pre-booked at the time of registration and paid for via direct debit over a 12 month period. This service will also be offered to our other registered parents who may have other children who would benefit from our holiday club sessions. Again, these sessions will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
