EU Food Safety Control

Teaching course for Master’s students in Veterinary Medicine and Master’s students in Veterinary Hygiene, Sanitary and Expertise

The course covers the legal foundations for the European food safety control system from the beginning to the present day and the challenges arising from international trade enlargement. The course addresses key elements of the EU sanitary and phytosanitary system, European food safety control system, including the EU's guidance on the nature and the implementation of audit systems by national competent authorities. Among the recurring themes are food and feed legislation, good hygiene practices, hazard analyses, audits on organic farming.

The Department of Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise deliver training seminars in Ukrainian. The program cover the main issues of Food safety control system as well as European integration issues, internal market and the relations between the EU and Ukraine.

of Jean Monnet Module "EU Food Safety Control"

May 14-16, 2019 on the basis of the State Institution "Scientific and Methodological Center for Information and Analytical Support of Higher Education Institutions" Agroosvita "in the framework of the European Union Erasmus + Module Jean Monnet -" EU Food Safety Control"(№ 587548- EPP-1-2017-1-EN-EPPJMO-MODULE) held a Spring School with international participation "Towards food safety: approaches to the implementation and enforcement of European food safety control", which ended with a round table "Interaction between Ukraine and the EU to ensure food safety. "

On April 28-29, 2020, the Spring School "Towards Food Safety: Approaches to Implementing and Implementing European Food Safety Control" was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. The event was implemented within the framework of the European Union Erasmus + project directed by Jean Monnet - "Food Safety Control in the EU" in cooperation with the Ukrainian Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products.
