Welcome to Fonte de Mouros, directly on the Camino de Santiago, in the heart of Galicia. We are Richard and Evelyn, passionate about creating a unique off-grid sanctuary and community where intimacy, connection, and shared values thrive.
Our journey began with the purchase of 8 hectares (20 acres) of beautiful pasture and woodland, including a magical Celtic fairy spring, surrounded by 70 majestic chestnut trees and a diverse range of oak trees. We envision a space where individuals can explore their authentic selves, free from judgment and cultural biases. For more information about our community and how to join please contact us for the link. Please note you'll find waaay more information about our daily lives on our Facebook page (2) Facebook
Our land was once a dairy farm, and currently we cultivate chestnuts and walnuts, with plans to plant fruits and vegetables as we strive for self-sufficiency. We are building a hen house and we may get donkeys, sheep, we'll see. We believe in co-creation and welcome those eager to participate in our shared daily routine, which evolves weekly based on group energy and individual commitments. We are directly on the Camino de Santiago near Palas de Rei, and welcome pilgrims with prior notice. Our evenings are dedicated to communal meals, where we gather to share stories, laughter, and delicious home-cooked food.
We are excited to be restoring the old farmhouse into a cozy shared home and transform our barn into a vibrant space for events, play, and co-sleeping. We have a friendly dog and cat who will happily welcome you, and we’re open to discussing the inclusion of other animals to fit into our community.
Join us at Fonte de Mouros to share our ready-made environment, collaborate on big projects, and embark on a journey of connection, growth, and transformation. Together, we can cultivate a space where everyone feels safe, valued, and inspired.
We look forward to meeting you!
