These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL COMPANY NAME] ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of FlowKeyboard: Typewise AI, including its iOS application, keyboard extension, websites, AI features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
2. The Service
FlowKeyboard provides AI-assisted writing features, which may include:
- polishing and rewriting text;
- detecting and suggesting corrections;
- generating suggested replies from text you paste or a conversation screenshot you provide;
- adapting writing to selected scenarios and tones;
- storing selected results in a workspace; and
- optional local processing after a compatible model is downloaded to your device.
Cloud processing is used by default. Local processing is optional and requires a compatible model to be downloaded to your device. When Local Processing is enabled and a feature is supported by the Local Model, submitted text is processed on your device rather than sent to our cloud AI service to generate the result. Local Processing may not be available on every device, operating system version, language, or feature. Internet access may still be required to download or update the Local Model, verify purchases or membership status, restore purchases, synchronize enabled services, receive support, or use cloud-only features.
Features may change, be limited, or become unavailable as we improve the Service.
3. Keyboard Extension and Full Access
Certain features require you to add the FlowKeyboard keyboard extension and enable Full Access in iOS Settings. Full Access permits the keyboard extension to communicate with the internet so that requested text can be sent for cloud processing.
FlowKeyboard is designed to process text only when you actively invoke an AI feature or otherwise submit content to the Service. You are responsible for reviewing the permissions shown by iOS before enabling the keyboard.
Do not submit passwords, payment card details, authentication codes, health records, government identifiers, confidential business information, or other highly sensitive information to cloud AI features.
4. AI-Generated Content
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, outdated, or unsuitable for your intended purpose. The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial, employment, academic, or other professional advice.
You are responsible for:
- reviewing all suggested corrections and generated replies;
- deciding whether to use, edit, send, or publish any output;
- verifying important facts; and
- ensuring that your use of the output complies with applicable law and third-party rights.
We do not guarantee that generated content is unique or that another user will not receive similar output.
5. Your Content
"User Content" includes text, screenshots, prompts, messages, feedback, and other material you submit to the Service.
You retain any rights you have in your User Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, reproduce, and process User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content. If a screenshot or message contains another person's information, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to provide it.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
- harass, threaten, defame, exploit, impersonate, or deceive another person;
- create or distribute malware, spam, phishing, fraud, or unauthorized advertising;
- generate sexual content involving minors or facilitate child exploitation;
- facilitate violence, illegal activity, or evasion of lawful safeguards;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality rights;
- reverse engineer, scrape, probe, overload, or interfere with the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- bypass usage limits, security controls, subscription requirements, or access restrictions; or
- use automated means to access the Service without our written permission.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or third parties.
7. Accounts and Security
If the Service offers accounts, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. Notify us promptly at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you believe your account or device has been compromised.
8. Subscriptions and Purchases
Some features require an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple's App Store. Subscription plans, billing, trials, cancellation, refunds, and price changes are described in the FlowKeyboard Membership Agreement and on the App Store purchase screen.
Apple processes App Store payments. We do not directly receive your full payment card information. Your purchase is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, excluding User Content, is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Usage Rules.
You may not copy, sell, sublicense, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted by us or applicable law.
10. Feedback
If you send suggestions or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on Apple, cloud infrastructure, AI processing providers, analytics providers, and other third-party services. Their availability and terms may affect the Service. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond the extent required by applicable law.
12. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, misuse the Service, or if we discontinue the Service. Where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to appeal.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD 100.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
15. Export and Sanctions Compliance
You may not use or export the Service in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in a prohibited territory and are not listed on an applicable restricted-party list.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, or business operations. We will post the updated Terms and revise the Effective Date. If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
