If you want immersive, over-ear noise cancellation for long library sessions with deep, detailed sound, choose FOFUN NC95; if you need rugged, waterproof sport earbuds that double as an emergency power bank for active use, choose WUYI Earbuds.
• FOFUN NC95: Offers massive 120-hour battery life and hybrid active noise cancellation with a planar magnetic driver for audiophile-grade clarity, but it is bulky and not waterproof.
• WUYI Earbuds: Delivers an incredible 128-hour total playtime with IPX7 waterproofing and a charging case that acts as a power bank, though it relies on passive noise reduction and in-ear design.
• Best For: The FOFUN NC95 is the ideal choice for students or professionals seeking a quiet sanctuary in a library, while the WUYI Earbuds are built for runners, gym-goers, and outdoor adventurers who demand durability.
The FOFUN NC95 is engineered for the person who treats listening to music as a primary activity, whether that means studying in a noisy coffee shop, commuting on a crowded train, or simply needing a break from the world at home. Its defining feature is the hybrid active noise cancellation system supported by four microphones. This isn't just about turning down the volume; it is about actively filtering out the low-frequency hum of air conditioners, traffic, or the murmur of conversations around you. For someone trying to focus on a complex task in a shared space like a library, this technology creates a tangible barrier against distraction without having to crank the volume to dangerous levels.
The audio experience is driven by 40-millimeter planar magnetic drivers. Unlike standard dynamic drivers found in many budget headphones, these planar magnets offer a different approach to sound reproduction, aiming for higher resolution and better detail retrieval across the frequency spectrum. With a frequency response ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz and a sensitivity of 105 dB, the sound profile promises rich bass and clear highs. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity ensures a stable connection with a range of up to 15 meters, meaning you can leave your phone in one room and walk into another without the audio cutting out. The ability to control these features via a dedicated app adds a layer of customization that allows users to tweak their sound signature to their specific preference.

However, the form factor demands consideration. These are over-ear, circumaural headphones made with plastic and stainless steel components, weighing 0.58 kg (approximately 1.28 lbs). They sit completely around the ear rather than inside it. While this design contributes to comfort during extended wear, it also means they are not suitable for high-intensity physical activity where sweat could be an issue. The lack of an official waterproof rating means you should avoid using them in heavy rain or during intense workouts. Furthermore, the substantial weight and the closed-back design might feel isolating in environments where situational awareness is required. If you prioritize portability and weather resistance above all else, these large, wired-capable cans might feel too cumbersome for your daily carry.
The WUYI Earbuds, specifically the Q53 model, are designed for the active user who refuses to compromise between performance and durability. Their core identity is built around sports and outdoor resilience. With an IPX7 waterproof rating, these earbuds are constructed to withstand heavy sweat, rain, and even accidental submersion in water. This makes them a superior choice for anyone who runs in the rain, swims near the shore, or engages in high-intensity interval training where moisture is inevitable. The ergonomic hook design features high-elasticity TPU materials that bend to fit various ear shapes, including smaller ears, ensuring they stay secure even when you are sprinting or jumping.
Power management is where these earbuds truly shine for the mobile lifestyle. The included charging case houses a massive 2600mAh battery, which provides up to 128 hours of total playback time when combined with the earbuds' 8-hour single charge. This is not just about lasting longer; it transforms the case into an emergency power bank. In a pinch, you can plug your smartphone or tablet into the case to recharge it, potentially topping up over 40% of a phone's battery. For travelers or hikers who live off-grid, this feature alone can be a lifesaver. The LED digital display on the case further aids in planning, showing real-time battery levels for both the buds and the case so you never run out of juice unexpectedly.
Despite these impressive specs, there are trade-offs inherent to the in-ear design. The noise isolation is passive, relying on the seal created by the silicone ear tips rather than electronic cancellation. While the three sizes of included tips help achieve a good seal, they cannot match the active silence provided by over-ear ANC headphones. Additionally, the sound quality, while described as Hi-Fi with a 13.44mm composite titanium diaphragm, will naturally differ from the larger drivers found in full-size headphones. The controls are touch-based, which offers convenience but can sometimes be prone to accidental triggers during exercise. If you prefer the tactile feedback of physical buttons or require absolute silence without any ambient sound leaking in, these might not be the perfect fit, but for active versatility, they are hard to beat.
• Best for deep library focus → FOFUN NC95. The active noise cancellation and over-ear design create a private bubble essential for studying or working in shared spaces.
• Best for running and gym sessions → WUYI Earbuds. The IPX7 waterproofing and secure ear hooks ensure they stay put and survive sweat and rain.
• Best for emergency power needs → WUYI Earbuds. The 2600mAh case functions as a portable charger for other devices, a feature the FOFUN lacks entirely.
• Best for audiophile sound detail → FOFUN NC95. The 40mm planar magnetic drivers generally offer a wider soundstage and more nuanced frequency response than standard dynamic drivers.
• Best for lightweight portability → WUYI Earbuds. Weighing only 50 milligrams per unit, they are virtually unnoticeable compared to the 0.58 kg bulk of the FOFUN.
• Best for long-haul travel comfort → FOFUN NC95. The plush over-ear cushions reduce pressure points during long flights or bus rides better than small in-ear tips.
• Best for battery transparency → WUYI Earbuds. The dual LED display shows exact percentages, whereas the FOFUN relies on standard indicators.
• Best for voice assistant integration → Both. Both support Siri and general voice commands, but the WUYI's touch interface is optimized for quick taps while moving.
After weighing the specifications and potential use cases, I would buy the FOFUN NC95 for my personal library setup. The primary reason is the environment itself; a library requires silence, and the active noise cancellation is the only way to guarantee that peace without wearing something uncomfortable for hours. The 120-hour battery life ensures I won't have to think about charging them for weeks, and the planar magnetic drivers provide the clarity needed for focused listening. While the WUYI Earbuds are fantastic for sports, they simply do not offer the same level of acoustic isolation required for deep work in a public space. If you are looking for waterproof bone conduction headphones for library use, neither fits perfectly, but the FOFUN's ANC makes it the closest functional equivalent for creating a quiet zone. Ultimately, for a user prioritizing a "voice assistant sleep headphones for library" scenario where comfort and silence are paramount, the FOFUN NC95 is the logical choice.
They are made of plastic and stainless steel but lack the IPX7 protection found in the WUYI model, making them unsuitable for rain or heavy sweating.

Yes, the FOFUN NC95 utilizes Bluetooth 6.0 technology, which provides a wireless range of up to 15 meters and supports low-latency connections for smoother audio streaming compared to older versions.
