Your privacy is our priority. FocusQuest is designed to be a privacy-first application. This policy explains how we handle information within our app.
1. Personal Data Collection
FocusQuest does not collect any personally identifiable information on our servers. We do not require you to create an account (no name, email, or phone number required) to use the core features of the application.
2. Focus and Progress Data (Local Storage)
All data related to your use of the application is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData and UserDefaults technologies. This data includes:
Your focus session history (tasks, durations, dates).
Your progress (XP, virtual coins, levels).
Your success statistics and streaks.
Your app settings (session lengths, haptics).
This information never leaves your device unless you backup your device via your personal iCloud account (managed by Apple).
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
For FocusQuest Pro purchases, we use Apple's secure StoreKit system. FocusQuest never has access to your banking information or payment details. Apple only sends us an anonymous receipt to confirm that your subscription is active so we can unlock premium features.
4. Notifications
FocusQuest uses local notifications to alert you when your work sessions or breaks are finished. These notifications are generated by your device and do not require any external servers.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties. Since your data is stored locally on your device, no third party has access to it.
6. Your Rights
In accordance with data protection laws (such as GDPR), you have full control over your information:
Deletion: You can delete all your focus data at any time by uninstalling the application or using the "Reset" option in the app settings.
Access: Since your data is stored locally, you can view it directly through the "Insights" and "History" interfaces within FocusQuest.
7. Third-Party Services
FocusQuest does not use any third-party analytics services (such as Firebase or Mixpanel) to ensure total privacy.
