Effective date: July 28, 2026
Focus Proof is built to keep your word to yourself — and to keep your work to yourself. The short version: we collect nothing, and your intentions, sessions and receipts never leave your device — but the free version shows ads, and Google's ad software collects data to serve them.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data, and we operate no servers of our own.
Your intentions, sessions, receipts and streaks stay on your device. They are never uploaded, never used for advertising, and never shared.
There is no account. Focus Proof never asks for your name, email, or any sign-in.
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects device and ad-interaction data to serve and measure them. See "Advertising" below.
Focus Proof Pro removes all ads. Nothing on this page about advertising applies while Pro is active.
Within the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, ads are only personalized if you consent — and you can change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Choices.
Everything Focus Proof stores — your intentions, sessions, receipts, streaks and settings — lives only on your device, in the app's private storage. It is included in your normal device backup (iCloud or computer backup) like any other app's data, under Apple's protections, and we have no access to it.
Deleting the app deletes all of its data.
Nothing of yours leaves your device unless you send it: sharing a receipt uses the standard iOS share sheet, and the image goes only where you choose to send it.
The free version of Focus Proof shows ads supplied by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). There are exactly two places they can appear:
a full-screen ad after a finished session, once your receipt is on the shelf and you have chosen to leave it — never during a session, never on the timer, never over the receipt as it prints;
an optional video you can choose to watch on the Pro screen, in exchange for 24 hours of the Pro receipt styles.
The first receipt you ever earn is never followed by an ad, and two ads can never appear within 90 seconds of each other. Buying Focus Proof Pro removes all advertising.
To serve, cap, and measure ads, Google's advertising software collects and processes information from your device, including:
device and app identifiers, such as the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) if you allow tracking, along with a non-personal app-instance identifier if you don't,
device information — model, operating system version, language, and coarse location derived from your IP address (we never request precise location),
ad interaction data — which ads were shown, whether they were viewed or tapped, and whether an ad was fraudulent or invalid.
We never send Google your intentions, your receipts, your verdicts, or anything derived from them. Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects for advertising; its handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Advertising Policies. We do not receive any of it in a form that identifies you — only aggregate earnings and performance figures.
Tracking. iOS asks for your permission before the app can use the Advertising Identifier to track you across apps. If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalized. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland). Before any ad loads, we show Google's certified consent form covering advertising purposes and Google's ad partners. You can reopen it any time from Focus Proof's Settings → Ad Privacy Choices.
Remove ads entirely. Purchase Focus Proof Pro. Ads stop immediately and no further ad requests are made.
A 24-hour style pass earned by watching a video is granted only on your device, and is not stored or reported anywhere. Watching a video tells us nothing about you.
Focus Proof Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. There is no subscription and nothing renews. We receive no personal information about you from the transaction, and never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs the purchase itself.
If you allow notifications, Focus Proof schedules a single local notification on your device to mark the end of a focus session. No push servers are involved — the notification never touches a network.
Focus Proof is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Because the free version serves advertising, it is not intended for use by children under 13; ads are not requested with child-directed treatment.
If the app's behavior ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change ships.
