I am currently the Director of Engineering for Marketplace in the Economy org at Roblox where I leads full-stacks teams that serve users, creators and developers in Roblox, building a vibrant and inclusive economy for all. Previously, served as the Director of Engineering at Twitter from July 2019 till June 2023 leading Growth organization that includes Product ML teams (Notifications, Recommendations, Onboarding and off-platform experience), Frontiers (DM, Communities), ML Systems teams and Core Infra in Growth. During 2014-2019, I was the CEO of Wanda Inc., an AI-based company for patient health management, where I originally started as the CTO. At Wanda, we built machine learning models using patient data streams to predict adverse events, which care teams access through our web application and use to improve the quality of care. Prior to that, I was a Senior Software Engineer at Google Inc.

I received my BS in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2003 and my MS and PhD in Computer Science from the University of California Los Angeles in 2005 and 2008, respectively and subsequently did postdoctoral research at Embedded and Reconfigurable Systems Lab while collaborating with UCLA Wireless Health Institute.
