Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the FNam FFT Spectrogram Analyzer app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by FormulaNam (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application processes microphone audio, user-selected files, and measurement settings to provide audio analysis and sound event logging features. Audio analysis is performed on your device.
The Application does not include advertising or usage analytics SDKs and does not automatically send screen-visit history or app usage duration to the Service Provider.
Local IP addresses and connection information are used when you enable the Frequency Response Preview feature to connect devices over a local network.
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
You do not need to create an account or provide your name or email address to use the Application’s audio analysis features.
If you voluntarily contact the Service Provider by email or submit feedback through the linked Google Form, the Service Provider receives the information you choose to provide. This may include your message, email address, and any attached files, and is used to respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and improve the Application.
Microphone, Storage, and Local Network Permissions
The Application requests microphone permission for audio analysis and recording. It also reads files and saves measurement results using the storage access mechanisms available on your Android device. Some file operations require you to select a file or folder through the system file picker.
Frequency Response Preview exchanges measurement settings, timing information, generated reference-signal data, and device connection information between devices that you connect over a local Wi-Fi network. This measurement exchange does not use a Service Provider-operated server.
Measurement Disclaimer
This app provides audio analysis and sound event logging features for personal monitoring, troubleshooting, and reference purposes only.
This app is not a certified sound level meter and should not be used as legal, regulatory, or forensic evidence.
Sound level readings may vary depending on the device microphone, hardware characteristics, calibration settings, operating system behavior, and surrounding environment. If certified or legally valid sound measurements are required, please use a certified sound level meter or professional measurement equipment.
Audio Recording and Event Logs
The Application accesses microphone audio to analyze signals, display sound levels, record audio, and detect sound events. When you use the audio recording and saving feature, recordings are saved locally in WAV format. When you choose to export a loaded audio file as CSV, its waveform samples are saved to the folder you select.
Sound Event Logger saves session and event records in JSON format. These records may include measurement timestamps, sound levels, event counts and durations, logging settings, and references to saved audio clips. JSON event logs can be saved even when optional event WAV saving is disabled. When event WAV saving is enabled, the Application also saves short audio clips around detected events.
Frequency Response Preview saves recorded waveform samples, reference-signal data, and calculated FIR coefficients in CSV format. It also saves measurement session information in JSON format. When you select Share as ZIP, the session files, including CSV and JSON files, are packaged into a ZIP archive and shared through the application you choose.
Saved files may contain session identifiers, timestamps, measurement settings and results, app version, and CPU architecture information. Frequency response measurement files may also contain the connected Noise Generator device name.
Audio recordings, CSV files, and JSON logs are stored locally on your device. The Application does not automatically upload these files to the Service Provider. When you choose to share files, their contents, including audio and metadata, are provided to the recipient or application you select. System backups and device transfers are described separately under Device Backup.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws and obtaining any necessary consent before recording audio in their location.
Third-Party Services and Sharing
The Application includes links to external services, such as Google Forms for feedback, YouTube for tutorials, and Google Play. When you open these links, the external service may process information according to its own privacy policy.

If you share files through another application, that application and the recipient handle the shared information under their own practices.
The Service Provider does not automatically receive your locally stored recordings or measurement files. Information you voluntarily submit for support may be processed by the email or form services used to receive it and may be disclosed when required by applicable law.
Device Backup
Depending on your Android version, device settings, and backup provider, eligible app data, such as saved preferences, may be included in system backups or device transfers. These processes are managed by Android or your backup provider, rather than by the Service Provider.
Your Controls, Data Retention, and Deletion
You can stop microphone-based processing by stopping the active measurement or recording, or by revoking microphone permission in Android settings.
Locally saved recordings and measurement files remain until you delete them. Uninstalling the Application may leave files stored in Downloads, shared storage, or folders you selected. You can delete these files using a file manager. Copies that you shared or backed up must be managed separately.
The Service Provider cannot remotely access or delete files stored only on your device.
Information you voluntarily submit by email or through the feedback form is retained only for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and related follow-up, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
To request deletion of information you submitted to the Service Provider, contact fotmulanam@gmail.com . Please provide enough information to identify your submission. Anonymous submissions may be difficult to locate without identifying details.
Children
The Application is not directed to children under 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit personal information from or market to children under 13.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the Service Provider through email or the feedback form, please contact fotmulanam@gmail.com so that appropriate deletion steps can be taken.
Security
Local files are protected by the security and access controls available on your device and chosen storage location. Frequency Response Preview uses a local TCP connection and does not implement application-level encryption for that connection. Use this feature on a trusted private network.
No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Application or its data handling practices. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Additional notice and consent will be provided where required.

Your Choices
You control whether to grant microphone permission, enable optional event audio saving, select files, submit feedback, or share measurement files. You can change microphone permission in Android settings. Additional consent will be requested where required.
