Mr. Suresh Prasanna is a material researcher working in the field of wearable thermoelectrics using flexible conductive fabrics for room temperature energy harvesting. He joined Nanotechnology Research Centre, SRM IST (formerly known as SRM University) in November 2019 as Junior Research Fellow. He completed his master’s in Physics in D.G. Vaishnav College of Arts and Science, University of Madras and bachelor’s in Physics from Swami Dayananda College, Tiruvarur. He gained the experience in tuning material properties  using nanotechnology from his internship in Bishop Heber College, Trichy as a part of master’s project. He is experienced in in-situ binder-free growth of various inorganic materials directly on the fabric via chemical routes. Suresh’s current focus of research is tuning the thermoelectric properties of MoS 2 based 2-D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) on conductive carbon fabric for room temperature thermoelectric application. He has been a part of various reputed conferences and workshops.
