If you need to transfer a sick child to Children's:
Stabilize the patient (duh). Usually you transfer when on 2L/kg HHF (you may have to initiate BiPap). Start an IV.
Then, initiate a call to Children's One Call, 720-777-3999. Share your case - ask for accepting physician's name and room number if available. Usually direct transfer to PICU (or ED).
Choose transportation - can use UCHealth Life Line, 844-867-4590 (not if patient is <5 kg) or Children's. Apparently UCHealth is preferred due to cost, but use either depending on urgency of transport. Be clear when talking to One Call about which option you chose.
If using Life Line, you can ask your nurse to do the nitty gritty which usually is placing an Epic order and filling out paperwork. You can also do this if needed.

Needs a Discharge Summary
Needs Discharge orders, "Discharge to Outside Facility". Consider continuing PIV and mIVF (or continuous meds like albuterol).
