Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) Review
EBM: The trifecta of best research evidence, clinical expertise, and patient values.1
An evidence based practice is NOT solely engaging with and appraising primary research. In fact, this should be done rarely. Due to the breadth of research produced and the efficiency required for clinical practice – we should primarily rely on summary sources, clinical guidelines, and preappraised sources.1
