Curriculum Vitae
My UdeM webpage
My research work focuses on the design and analysis of algorithms used in Statistics and Machine Learning applications. Algorithms are regarded as generators of sequences of real numbers or vectors (often random) which can be generated on a computer. To be useful, these sequences must help solving the learning problem at hand, essentially numerical integration or optimization, with theoretical guarantees and in a computationally efficient manner. Most of my research is concerned with Markov chain Monte Carlo methods, variational inference, EM algorithms with applications to Graphical models, Bayesian model selection and Bayesian Statistics in general.
