If you want a durable, wired solution for group settings like school libraries where stability and cost-efficiency matter most, choose Flutesan 20; if you need wireless freedom, long battery life, and sweat resistance for active use or solo study sessions, choose RICHJOY Open Ear Earbuds.
• Flutesan 20: Built tough with ABS material for years of wear in high-traffic areas, but limited by its wired connection and lack of Bluetooth flexibility. Best for bulk institutional use or students who need reliable, distraction-free listening without charging.
• RICHJOY Open Ear Earbuds: Offers a secure, lightweight C-shaped fit with 40 hours of playtime and advanced noise cancellation for calls, though the open-ear design means less passive isolation from ambient noise. Ideal for athletes, commuters, and anyone prioritizing mobility over wired tethering.
The Flutesan 20 is engineered specifically for environments where reliability and durability are paramount. As a wired, on-ear headphone designed with a 3.5mm jack, it eliminates the anxiety of dead batteries mid-session. The casing is constructed from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), a material chosen for its stability and toughness, making it resilient enough to withstand the rough handling common in classrooms, libraries, and gyms. This isn't just about looking good; it is about surviving a semester of being tossed into backpacks and dropped on hard floors.
For students or educators looking for a best hifi stereo wireless headset for school alternative that doesn't require charging, this is a pragmatic choice. The headphones feature dynamic drivers with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, ensuring clear sound quality for music and educational audio. The foam ear pads provide a comfortable seal that allows for extended listening periods without the fatigue often associated with cheaper plastic cups. The adjustable bracket ensures that the headphones can accommodate various head sizes, from young boys to adults, making them a versatile "one size fits most" option for family packs or classroom sets.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you value the convenience of moving freely across campus without a cable trailing behind you, the Flutesan 20 will feel restrictive. Its reliance on a physical 3.5mm plug means you are tethered to your device, which can be cumbersome during sports or while walking between classes. Additionally, while it features volume control, it lacks the modern touch controls and smart connectivity found in newer wireless models. It is best suited for stationary study, library work, or situations where a wired connection guarantees zero latency or connection drops.
The RICHJOY Open Ear Earbuds cater to a completely different lifestyle, prioritizing freedom and situational awareness. These clip-on headphones utilize a C-shaped design that rests gently on the ear rather than covering it, creating an open-ear experience that keeps you connected to your surroundings. This makes them exceptionally suitable for running, cycling, or working out in a gym where hearing traffic or instructors is a safety necessity. Weighing only 4.8 grams per unit, they are incredibly light, ensuring that even during long-term exercise, there is no pressure build-up or discomfort in the ear canal.
Battery life is a standout feature here. With a total playtime of up to 40 hours and a portable charging case featuring a real-time digital LED display, these earbuds remove the daily charging ritual. You can go days without plugging in the case, making them perfect for long trips or multi-day study marathons where power outlets might be scarce. The inclusion of Bluetooth 6.0 ensures seamless pairing with iPhones, Android devices, iPads, and PCs, offering universal compatibility that far exceeds the limitations of a single jack. Furthermore, the IPX5 waterproof rating means sweat and rain are no longer enemies; they are built to handle high-intensity training and outdoor adventures without corroding or failing.
These earbuds also shine when clarity matters. They come equipped with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) technology and AI call processing, which actively filters out wind and background noise to keep your voice crystal clear during online meetings or business calls. The directional audio technology directs sound waves precisely into the ear canal, minimizing leakage so others around you don't hear your music. While the open-ear design sacrifices some bass depth compared to closed-back cans, the trade-off is a natural, breathable listening experience that feels less intrusive. This is the top pick for anyone seeking a long battery life in ear earbuds for school or work who also wants to stay safe and aware of their environment.

• Best for environmental awareness → RICHJOY Open Ear Earbuds: The open-ear design lets you hear traffic and conversations, essential for safety outdoors.
• Best for simple, rugged durability → Flutesan 20: The ABS construction and lack of complex electronics mean fewer points of failure in a high-traffic setting.
• Best for modern connectivity → RICHJOY Open Ear Earbuds: Bluetooth 6.0 supports instant pairing and wireless freedom that a 3.5mm jack simply cannot match.
After weighing the specs and intended use cases, I would personally buy the RICHJOY Open Ear Earbuds for my own daily routine, especially if I were a student balancing study time with an active schedule. The ability to move freely, the impressive 40-hour battery life, and the safety benefits of an open-ear design outweigh the convenience of the wired Flutesan 20 for personal use. However, if I were equipping a library or a classroom where hundreds of students need headphones simultaneously, I would choose the Flutesan 20 for its robustness and ease of distribution. Ultimately, for a student looking for the best on ear headphones for school that support both focus and movement, the wireless freedom of the RICHJOY model offers a more modern and versatile experience.
The RICHJOY Open Ear Earbuds reduce background noise via AI call cancellation but remain open-ear, so you will still hear some ambient noise. The Flutesan 20 offers better passive isolation due to its on-ear foam pads, making it potentially better for deep concentration in loud spaces.
The RICHJOY earbuds offer up to 40 hours of total playtime with a charging case, whereas the Flutesan 20 has no battery since it is powered directly through the 3.5mm wired connection, meaning it works indefinitely as long as it is plugged in.
Both are built well, but the RICHJOY earbuds feature an IPX5 waterproof rating to resist sweat and rain, while the Flutesan 20 relies on its tough ABS plastic shell to survive drops and rough handling in backpacks.
The RICHJOY earbuds include a dedicated ENC microphone for clear calls, making them excellent for virtual meetings or taking calls. The Flutesan 20 supports audio playback but does not specify a built-in microphone for two-way communication in its core features.
