Enjoy summer reading at your own pace. You and your family can choose from a variety of activities: reading, in-person, or online. Fulda Library activities and events are free. A library card is recommended but not required. Sign-up for quick reminders by phone, e-mail, or text message! Make an appointment in advance. Then, expect a phone call on Saturday morning
Request a call. Then, on Saturday morning, you'll receive a personal phone call from the library! Librarians Emily and Dwayna will call and read with you over the phone or brainstorm with you for unique book suggestions.

HOW
Sign-up and library staff will share the Zoom link. On the day of the call, you’ll need online access plus a smartphone or computer with a camera / microphone.
Let’s get our families together! Join a group video call hosted by a librarian. We’ll chat together and play a party game. (If you’ve never been in a Zoom meeting, this is a fun, low-pressure way to try it!) Family and friends from out-of-town are welcome, too. Invite them!
In June, Emily will host a family trivia using Kahoot. In July, Dwayna will host a drawing game using old-fashioned pencil and paper.

New challenges every Saturday
Every week, Fulda Library will post a new photo challenge which anyone can participate in. Look for the prompts on Facebook, Instagram, and in the “Share Art” window.

Window on display 24/7
During the Covid-19 shutdown, have you made anything creative? Show it off! Crafting, drawing, renovating, coloring painting, building, planning, knitting, gardening, carving (etc, etc, etc.) all count. Share your work and library staff will hang it in the “Share (your) Art” window near the front door. Check back often to see what your friends and neighbors made.

At 10 a.m., pour your favorite drink and join Dwayna for ukulele practice and picture books. At 3 p.m., grab a tasty snack and chat with Emily. Listen in as she reads from a fantastic chapter book. During the video, let us know you’re watching by typing "Hello!"

Write to Joe
Joe is the tortoise that lives at the library during the summer. He told us that his school year was lonely. This summer, he could use some excitement. Write Joe and tell him what you've been up to! You can send Joe pictures, stories, notes, whatever you want. Joe promises to write back!
