Barry Bridgelal was born (and lived until the age of 8) on the island of the hummingbird, Trinidad. His family's move to the hub of the universe, Boston, fostered his proclivity for foreign languages such that he has studied more than ten. Barry obtained a BA in International Relations and a BA in French Literature from Tufts University, as well as a MA in French Literature with Philosophy from King's College, London.
After his postgraduate studies, Barry began his teaching career. He has been working for twelve years as an instructor of French and Italian at all levels at different institutes and local universities. In the classroom, the great Federico Fellini's quotation, "A different language is a different vision of life", is the message he strives to carry across to his students. Teaching aside, he quite likes traveling to big cities, Indian cuisine, contemporary French novels, tennis, and wine (especially rosé)!
