Oakveil is my first 3D project, but also my first project on a new engine : Unity ! The objective here was to recreate a game called Rush made by the studio Two Tribes to make us work on rotation in 3D, such as quaternion, but also to develop our creativity with a complete freedom about the universe we want to put to our player.
The rush game is a puzzle game where you have to place specific type of tiles to influence cubes behavior. The final goal is to make all of them reach the target without colliding them together or falling them of the Level Design.
To introduce ourselves about the 3D coordinates, my teachers mentioned that this project is a real opportunity to practice 3D rotations with quaternions, cross product to find a direction and also express ourselves about the universe we want to give to our players.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS PROJECT
Discover a new engine : Unity.
Practice 3D coordinates.
Express our creativity and game feel through a whole universe.
Try to have a specific approach about all details, with the camera for example.
Explore new ways to create environments : such as shaders, 3D modeling through Blender or particles.
