on the Knox County Water Trail
PRESENTED BY: FirstBank
Float! Food! Family! Fun!
Join us on May 14th 2022 for a fun day utilizing one of the coolest natural resources we have in Knox County, the Beaver Creek Water Trail! Grab your kayak, paddle board, or canoe; put in right behind Powell High School and Float to the new Weigel's on Clinton Highway (roughly a 1.5 to 2 hour trip) OR Float all the way to Roy Arthur Stormwater Park on Harrell Road in Karns (roughy a 4 to 4.5 hour trip).
Bring your boat to the launch behind Powell High School; gates open at 7:00 am. We will help you unload it and let you take your vehicle to the parking lot beside the Powell High School Baseball field. Come back down to the launch site (FLOAT HQ) where there will be Knox Vittles serving breakfast & lunch, information about the water trail, music, and other paddlers to meet. First boat will launch at 9:00 AM! Once you reach the take out we will help you get out of the water safely and help load your boat on to our complementary kayak shuttle trucks. Enjoy a refresh from some of our local partners, Weigles (Clinton Highway Take Out) and Food City (Roy Arthur Stormwater Park Take Out). Then load up on one of our complementary paddler shuttles and you will be taken back to Float HQ where we will have food, live music, and fun stuff for kids. Enjoy hanging out with other Paddlers, and when you are ready to head home; go get your vehicle and bring It to Float HQ and we will help you load up your boat and send you on your way!!
Make sure to bring your personal floatation device (PFD), all floaters 12 and under must wear their PFD on the creek. All floaters MUST have a PFD with them at all times on the creek.
The first 200 to register will receive a free commemorative event T-Shirt!
