Floating Buddies is published by the EasyLifeTools. This document explains how the App handles data, which permissions it requests, and the choices available to you. We prepared this policy to meet Google Play developer requirements, Google AdMob policies, and applicable privacy expectations.
Floating Buddies lets you display animated “buddies” on top of other apps, launch curated companion crews, and watch rewarded ads to unlock additional characters. The experience is entirely client-side and does not require you to create an account or sign in.
We do not collect or store personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, or contacts. We also do not operate our own analytics or telemetry services.
The App stores only the minimum data required to remember your overlay preferences locally on your device (for example, which companions you have unlocked, sizing and positioning adjustments, and whether you have purchased premium).
-Display over other apps (`SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW` / overlay permission): required to show floating buddies on top of other applications. The overlay runs entirely on-device and does not transmit content off your device.
-Post notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS` on Android 13+): used to display optional status or reminder notifications about active overlays. Notifications do not include advertising content.
You can change these permissions at any time in your system settings. Core functionality may be limited if the permissions are disabled.
Floating Buddies uses Google AdMob to deliver rewarded ads that unlock certain companions. While we do not collect personal data ourselves, AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and usage information in accordance with [Google’s Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the Google Mobile Ads SDK requirements.
You can control personalized advertising through the Google Play settings on your device ("Ads" → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization").
No other third-party SDKs with data collection capabilities are bundled with the App.
Floating Buddies is designed for a general audience and is **not** directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action. Parents and guardians should monitor their children’s device usage and review platform-level advertising controls.
All companion preferences and unlock states are stored locally on your device. Deleting the App or clearing its storage removes this data. We do not maintain any servers or remote backups for user data.
Because the App does not transmit personal data to our servers, risks are limited to the device itself. We recommend that you keep your operating system up to date and protect your device with a screen lock.
We may update this policy to reflect product changes or legal requirements. Any updates will be published in-app (if required) and in this document with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
